Jody Holford | 4 comments Hi. I'm new and had a question that I hope I'm placing in the right spot. I have 4 books that I've received rights back for. I'm going to self publish these titles-- same book but with different cover and back copy. What I need to know is (these titles are no longer on amazon) is there a way to upload the new covers in place of the old ones so that I don't lose the accumulated goodreads reviews. I'm worried if I try to put it on amazon first (to get the ASIN), amazon will put it down as a new book and then transfer it to goodreads and it won't have any of the reviews. But, on the edit page for my books, it says I need an ASIN. Am I making any sense? I'd really appreciate it if someone was able to help me. My books are Falling For Home, Falling for Kate, Caught Looking and Damaged. Thanks so much in advance if you can offer any advice. ~Jody

Miriam | 1831 comments New editions will be created/combined with the previous editions.

As the author you will be able to set the new edition as the default edition so that they show up searches. Check here for instructions

You can put the book on Amazon and then create* the edition here with the ASIN. Once the ASIN is on Goodreads, Amazon won't add another edition.
*You can request a librarian add the new edition for you if you aren't comfortable adding it yourself. Check this post for links
