Looks like it was mostly enjoyable, Mary. I was just looking at the blurb for Suite Française and The Daughters of Mars again today. Glad to see you enjoyed Suite Française, and it seems to be a general consensus (among people I know, anyway) that The Daughters of Mars was only average or worse... Shame. I'd like to read a Thomas Keneally and that sounded like a good one, but maybe I need to have another look.

I loved it. The best book I have read this year. This is my second Kate Morton book. I read The House at Riverton a few months ago.
