Linda of course you can join in! You're very welcome:) But I notice the book you've chosen for #2, New Release, isn't an Aussie author? At least from what I read about the author, it seems he's UK all the way... Excellent choices for the rest:)

That's interesting Renee, was it really heavy going?
That's interesting Renee, was it really heavy going?

In some ways as it is pretty disheartening stuff, but it was more the writing style that I found I needed to break up a bit as too much at once and I found my brain going into fuzzy skim read mode which isn't good especially for something like this... but then again that could just have been me as it's been awhile since I have read non-fiction history my brain could just be used to easy to read novels!

Fair enough:) Sometimes non fiction is a little like that...I can't imagine it would be you:)

I just started Silver Wattle and I can tell it is going to be heavy work for me. Something needs to happen soon because it is VERY long and so far very boring:(

Ah but it's the only wattle book I have to hand and only a week before I go overseas. I am a bit OCD about challenges:) Once committed I will grit my teeth and persevere.

I have just reserved my two from the library - Black Wattle Creek by Geoffrey McGeachin and The Wattle Tree by John Bell
If you could reserve the second one at your library it's a very quick (32 pages) children's book:)

That's what I thought when I was choosing Phrynne! I agonised over it, but I've read the other two main ones, your current read and Sally's, so put this one down. If I find something else I'll definitely read it! Now you've made me feel guilty!! LOL

I agree with Phrynne, Brenda. Considering the volume you read, I reckon you're entitled to a 32 page read every now and again.

Glad you liked it Sally :)

Looking forward to this because I loved the first book in this series.

I can't believe some of you are three books in already!! So much reading.

Oh no, Bette!!! No reading? How will you manage? Although you've probably read enough to make up for 3 weeks of no reading. :)

That's...that's just dreadful!

Am starting no 6 now about a lawyer

I can understand that! It was very 'meh' for me. I felt that not much really happens for such a long book. Are you finding it like that?
