Hello, aspiring and published horror authors alike!
Join fellow novelists in submitting your partial or finished manuscripts to Inkshares’ Mystery-Thriller and Horror contests, running through December 14th. Partial manuscripts are welcome, and at the close of the contest, Inkshares’ editors will review every entry and offer publishing deals to the stories with the most promise. At least three novels per contest will be chosen for publication and representation, and any novel that reaches 500 pre-orders or more will automatically be offered a publishing deal. Although authors are welcome to enable the ‘sell pre-orders’ function in the contest to demonstrate reader-interest in their stories, it is not necessary to win a publishing deal. Simply create your logline, 'About' page, and upload some chapters for review!
A bit about Inkshares: Over the last two years, Inkshares has cemented its position as a marquee publisher in horror. Just last year, Scott Thomas’ Kill Creek was selected by the American Library Association’s advisory committee as the horror book of the year, shortlisted for the Bram Stoker, termed “the horror debut of 2017” by Barnes & Noble, and is in development for television at Showtime. Also last year, J-F. Dubeau's A God in the Shed received the award for runner-up best horror book of the year from the American Library Association, several starred reviews, and is currently in development for television with Skydance.
