Kathryn, who is the baby's father? (Spoilers are okay - just give us a clear warning before revealing a spoiler.)

Is the heroine part human, part vampire? Does she have special powers or skills?

Can you clarify the sequence of events - her uncle kidnapped her baby, she rescued the baby, then she tries to get to her brother because she thinks she's dying?
