Noor | 6 comments Hi guys
I'm an undergraduate Business and Management Student doing my Dissertation on the challenges/barriers facing women seeking roles within senior levels of management. I was hoping for some extra recommendations on books or reports based on women in management or even any biographies about strong women in leadership roles
Thanks in advance
Noor

Eram | 43 comments Read “Daughter of the East” - how Prime Minister of Pakistan couldn’t go on a maternity leave, delivered her daughter early in the morning (she had a C section) and how she joined the office the same day. It’s a very interesting read and will inform you how survival of women in politics is so difficult, how men take them non-seriously and how men try to manipulate women on the basis of their gender. You’ll know how a dictator tried to keep Benazir Bhutto away from elections and failed (she was pregnant with her first child and he wanted to exploit her pregnancy but his intelligence reports were wrong and she successfully hid her pregnancy for quite a time). You’ll know after she was back from exile, what problems she faced within her party where men weren’t comfortable to work with a young woman. I think, this book will help you a lot.
