5.6 - Read Aloud

World Read Aloud Day is February 1. "on World Read Aloud Day, people all around the globe read aloud together and share stories to advocate for literacy as a human right that belongs to all people." Read a NONFICTION book about literacy, education or reading.
ex. True Notebooks: A Writer's Year at Juvenile Hall
Teach Like Your Hair's on Fire: The Methods and Madness Inside Room 56,
Tolstoy and the Purple Chair: My Year of Magical Reading,
Well-Read Black Girl: Finding Our Stories, Discovering Ourselves

No, an autobiography by an author does not work

It looks to be about the philosophy of media and the impact of the media on culture. That's not really what this task is looking for.

Trish (trishhartuk) | 3693 comments Morning.

I'm struggling a bit with this one, as I'm not quite sure what would actually count (e.g. does it include books about writing).

Would this work? How to Suppress Women's Writing

Fine if it doesn't, but I was going through my TBR for something that might fit.

It looks like it is about the reaction to women rather than a book about writing. That wouldn't work.

Fair enough. I was being a bit hopeful.

I think I'll try to find myself a copy of When Books Went to War, which you approved for someone else.

That looks like it is about the authors, not about literacy, education or reading

It is more about a library than reading, sorry, it doesn't fit.
