Ilona | 4698 comments In this folder, you can add your very own discussion topic to track the yearly, quarterly, and monthly challenges you participate in for 2019. This is your space, and you can do whatever you like with it.

You can add a thread by following these directions:
1. Click this link: 2019 Member Corners
2. Click "new topic"

3. Add a topic name that contains your name, type your comment and click "post".
4. Bookmark the page in your browser, so you can easily retrieve it.

Let us know if you have any questions!
(If you would like to continue your 2018 corner in this folder and would like help moving it, let us know!)

oshizu | 5762 comments Hello Ilona!

I have 2 questions about moving a member's corner.

Q1: Will my 2018 member's corner be available until 31 Dec 2018, then eventually deleted?

Q2: What are the benefits of moving my 2018 member's corner posts to my 2019 member's corner?
I feel like I'm missing something important...

Ilona | 4698 comments Those are both valid questions, Oshizu!

Q1: Will my 2018 member's corner be available until 31 Dec 2018, then eventually deleted?

We don't delete the topic, only move it to an archive folder, so it will always be available.

Q2: What are the benefits of moving my 2018 member's corner posts to my 2019 member's corner?

Some members spend years to perfection their corners and use the same thread every year, so we move the topic to the new folder. This way we have all corners for 2019 in the same place for others to check out!

Do you want me to move yours?

Thank you for explaining, Ilona!
As long as my 2018 corner will be archived, I won't need to move it.
I'd started my 2019 challenge posts there but I've already cut/pasted them into my 2019 corner.

Dianne Mck. (diannemck) | 58 comments I am trying to add my own folder but I'm getting a message that says my email address needs to be confirmed. Would you let me know how to accomplish this?
Thank you

Dianne, to verify your email address, click on your profile picture and select Account Settings. Then navigate to your Settings tab. If your email address isn't verified, you'll see a red message next to it - click "re-send verification email" and follow the instructions in the email you receive.

If this doesn't solve the problem or if you don't see the the "re-send verification email" option, I suggest that you contact Goodreads by sending an email to [email protected]

Hope this helps!

Lana | 59 comments Hello Ilona,

How do I create the links in the post the way you did in your Member Corner? I am specifically referring to the books read the previous years. It links up to a nice page but one I have never seen before. Thank you.

You can create links using a bit of html, type:
[a href="LINK HERE"]click here[/a]
but replace [ by < and ] by >
When you add a link, it will look like this: click here

The page you are referring to is visible when you click on see Lana's 2018 Year in Books on your profile page, just underneath the 2019 Reading Challenge. From there you can click on see previous year or see next year, to switch between years. For each of these years, you can copy the link in the piece of html above.
Hope this helps!

Kobi Solomon Hello!

I am currently looking to add friends on my goodreads. I am very active on here and would love to have a few people to chat about books, latest reads and old faves.

I live in such a small town and I feel like a Rory Gilmore in a world of Rocky's. Everyone here is so sports focused and I'm just here for my partner and looking for work.

I enjoy reading horrors, obscure little horror novels, old school classics, thrillers, YA, supernaturals, romance, biographies, and lots more!

I purchase most of my books from secondhand stores or opportunity shops as the town I live in has 4 of these stores and one major store.

This town isn't all bad though. I do live minutes from the beach and the coffee den here is amazing with vegan treats and hot chocolates in winter!

Please check out my reading list and if we have any books in common or of interest, add me as a friend! I'll help you to reach your target and boost your morale. That was my last job actually. to help other reach goals and boost their morale haha

Talk to you soon!

Amber Prince | 116 comments Where you live sounds amazing....I would love to live minutes from the beach and I don’t even swim much. I go just to relax and people watch. We seem to have similar reading interests. My fav writers are King,Koontz, Patterson, Steel, and a few others of varying interests.

Kobi Solomon Yay a like minded reader!

Nice to meet you :)

I recently bought a pile of books (all secondhand) with a couple goosebumps and obscure horrors!

It also included Dean Koontz and John Saul!

What is your fave book from any or all of those authors?
