Maggie Sheets is a single mother of a two-year-old, struggling to make ends meet by cleaning houses. She is surprised when a lawyer tells her that her friend Liza has died and left her her house, with one stipulation - it comes with Liza's mother, Edith, who has Alzheimer's.
The concept for the novel intrigued me. I liked the story well enough, but for me it lacked something - I never really connected with any of the characters. I also felt there was something lacking with the execution, that the story didn't flow very well. So overall I liked it but didn't love it.
