Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed #15 (retelling of classic) - Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors by Sonali Dev. I really enjoyed this book! It is a romance with it's HEA ending. But it definitely makes you work for it and takes a stroll through some ugly truths before showing the sunshine of hope. My only slight criticism was I felt she lost the thread of conversation at times. But overall, I really enjoyed it! Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed #45 (LitRPG) - Warcross by Marie Lu. I really enjoyed the concept in this book and the world the author created. I liked the characters, but I found them a tad underdeveloped. I also felt that there were gaps in the connections between characters. Still a really fun read! Definitely worth reading! 4 stars

I have to admit - I have to quit this challenge. I am on 11 now and there is not chance that I'll get up to 20 in the next two weeks.
There were just so many things I wanted to read even though it was not fitting for the challenge.

message 1698: by Megan (new)

Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed #34 (sugar in title) - Sugar by Deirdre Riordan Hall. I had a difficult time with the beginning of this book. The body-shaming, negative talk, and unhealthy issues with food were almost too much. I understand why they were included, but I thought it was excessive. The fact that the main character could be "fixed" from the love of the right boy was also annoying. However, I found the story compelling and liked some of the characters. I think the main character was much too introspective for her age. Overall, a good effort but all the trigger warnings. 3.5 stars
