Oops, sorry Janice. It's only February and the bad habits are creeping in already! I've added criteria number and label to those two posts...

Love your challenge title by the way!"
Thanks Sarah : )
I'm definitely going to read the final book in the trilogy. I have a copy on ebook, I'm just putting off the inevitable because I like Bill and don't want the series to end.
I read The Outsider last year, which contained a sneaky spoiler, so I'm doubly putting it off for now. I will read it this year though - (view spoiler)

No problem at all. You must be really busy after all that toppling we've been doing. I've another two to report but I've not decided on categories yet.

f. Superhero Ares: Book with "God" in title, or mythology genre
Norse Mythology
I read the ebook. Main edition has 304 pages

Norse gods was kind of cute. I did actually enjoy most of the stories (loki was cool) and I think the audio book definitely helped. My only criticism was that the last few stories got kind of stale and the author's turn of phrase began to grate and feel samey.
I did binge read for the toppler though, so maybe it was a mild case of reading indigestion on my part. It was definitely worth a solid 3 stars for me, but I still dont expect Neil Gaiman to become a favourite author. We dont gel enough for that.

... What did you think to the final installment? ..."
The final installment wsa the best of the trilogy in my opinion, maybe because I already knew the characters and was really pleased to meet up with the team again. (view spoiler)
It was good to see Holly developing in herself too. I have a real soft spot for her and I think I'm not alone in that respect.
I liked the social comment King was making about people having their noses stuck in mobile phones and tablets. He's obviously of the older generation and making an older person's criticism to a certain extent, but he's going with the times and it's a very gentle warning. Bill had issues with his mobile and modern technology, but worked with the younger members of the team to overcome them - to a certain extent at least. I thought that was a nice touch : )
All in all, it was an excellent read. One that I will probably return to, which is saying something from me. Praise indeed!
Thanks for the nudge by the way - it was your prompt that made me pick up the final installment when I did.

Jamaica Inn Read on audiobook. Hardcover edition has 302 pages.
Book is set in 1820

The audiobook narrator was quite good, but the female voices were absolutely terrible! They sounded like kermit the frog with a cold... and I had to chuckle quite a bit. I did enjoy having the book read to me though.
I loved the descriptions of the Cornish Moors, I think that's what made the book for me. They reminded me of Shetland a little I suppose and I loved the sense of ancient pagan influences lurking just below the surface of 'modern' Cornwall.
I read Rebecca last year, but didn't like it as much. it was atmospheric, but the main character was so naive and self-depreciating that she really got on my nerves. Maybe I was reading it at the wrong time. It felt like I should have liked it better than I did.
