Les Misérables by Victor Hugo - some chapters left me feeling blue
At Bertram's Hotel by Agatha Christie - cold-blooded murderer does not always look nasty (more than this and it'll be a spoiler)
Hamlet by William Shakespeare - a dangerous book to read before going to work as it left me feeling sad, sorrowful, and unable to concentrate throughout the day
The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan - Percy's adventure under the earth..so what's more earthly than this? haha
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas - I got this book as a birthday present, so this is a FREE book lol
A Pocket Full of Rye by Agatha Christie - the victim was killed with taxine, a poison derived from any parts of yew tree, including its green leaves.
Animal Farm by George Orwell - this book hits me that this is the condition of politics in my country. Or maybe in almost all countries.
Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie - first book in Miss Marple's series from one of my idol, Agatha Christie
Private Eyes by Jonathan Kellerman - I found 2 "juicy" words on this book.
Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare - the last kiss between Romeo and Juliet
Bloodline by James Rollins - so many lives lost because of greed
The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie - The murder of two young men may be connected with the mysterious group, the Seven Dials.
Anne's House of Dreams by L.M. Montgomery - Anne IS nice. This books just proved it.
The Secret of Chimneys by Agatha Christie - not the first Agatha Christie's book that I owned but I quite love this one
The Moving Finger by Agatha Christie - the title was taken from a poem
Anne of Green Gables & Anne of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery - Anne is far from quiet. But I need a quiet atmosphere (at night, after everyone falls asleep, with TV turned off) to fully enjoy reading this book.
Sleeping Murder by Agatha Christie - I listened to the audiobook while driving my bike amidst the roaring sound of vehicles and constructions etc..but I managed to finished it and quite like it!!
Arsène Lupin, Gentleman-Thief by Maurice Leblanc - The reader read the book with flat voice which made my friends and I felt sleepy after some minutes hearing her voice.
Peter Pan and Wendy - Wendy, John, and Michael travel to Neverland
Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi - reading this book makes me feel that I'm transferred to another universe that talking marionette and animals is commonly found as nobody finds it weird.
Heidi by Johanna Spyri - Heidi is a vibrant girl
A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond - a little (cute) bear strolling around the city and talking is weird, don't you think?

23/26

The taoism of teaism
✅B - BLUE:
Death by Water - Kerry Greenwood ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Miss Phryne Fisher lures a jewel thief with a tempting blue sapphire necklace.
✅C - COLD:
The Story of a Baby - Ethel Turner ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Passions have cooled with familiarity, and the rain seems to never cease lashing down.
✅D - DANGEROUS:

Jiří was an amazing and important, yet ordinary man documenting lost sites of Jewish history, but he and his wife were brutally murdered a few years ago.

The Peppercorn Tree - Jill Lovett ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A gentle memoir of a down-to-earth family experiencing drama and mystery in the Sydney suburbs
✅F - FREE:
Candy Is Dandy: The Best of Ogden Nash - Ogden Nash ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Ogden Nash was very free with his verse, changing spellings and pronunciations for the best and often most comic effect. He made very good use of his poetic licence.
✅G - GREEN:
Dandelion Wine - Ray Bradbury ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Dandelion Wine is a 1957 novel by Ray Bradbury, taking place in the summer of 1928 in the fictional town of Green Town, Illinois, based upon Bradbury's childhood home of Waukegan, Illinois.
✅H - HIT: Psycho - Robert Bloch ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The book based on a true story that inspired the hit film by Alfred Hitchcock.
✅I - IDOL:
Ted and Sylvia - Emma Tennant ⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Ted has the air of one who left home a long time ago and never really returned, sending instead of himself a facsimile: bluff, good-natured and utterly alien. His hair, Sylvia notices not for the first time, has recently been cut in a pudding-bowl shape - if he weren't so godlike (he is to her and becomes greater in stature the more she is with him), he could be thought a short-spoken, ill-mannered soldier."
✅J - JUICY:
The Castlemaine Murders - Kerry Greenwood ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Oh! That Phryne Fisher - PHWOAR!
✅K - KISSED:
Ambulance Girls - Deborah Burrows ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"Jim leaned across and kissed me. It was a gentle kiss, hesitant, improvised, and in it I tasted the salt of his tears."
✅L - LOST:
Goodbye Christopher Robin: A. A. Milne and the Making of Winnie-the-Pooh - Ann Thwaite ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
In memory of a lost childhood.
✅M - MYSTERIOUS:
4:50 from Paddington - Agatha Christie ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A woman witnesses a murder on a passing train. Or does she?
✅N - NICE: The Murder at the Vicarage - Agatha Christie ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We meet a nice little old lady...“Really Miss Marple is rather a dear….”
✅O - OWNED:
Les Misérables -Victor Hugo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It is not just that I own a copy of this book, but that we are so intertwined as to be a part of each other.
✅P - POETIC:
Selected Poems of Emily Dickinson - Emily Dickinson ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
There is no Frigate like a Book
To take us Lands away,
Nor any Coursers like a Page
Of prancing Poetry –
This Traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of Toll –
How frugal is the Chariot
That bears a Human soul.
✅Q - QUIET:
Esther's Inheritance - Sándor Márai ⭐⭐⭐⭐
"This is why I have come," he said, more quietly now because the room had darkened and we instinctively dropped our voices as if everything -- all the objects in the room, all we had to say -- was fading with the light.
✅R - ROARING:
The History of Don Quixote, Volume 1 - Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This delightful book had me roaring with laughter!
✅S - SLEEPY:
The Big Sleep - Raymond Chandler ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
"What did it matter where you lay once you were dead? In a dirty sump or in a marble tower on the top of a high hill? You were dead, you were sleeping the big sleep, you were not bothered by things like that. Oil and water were the same as wind and air to you. You just slept the big sleep, not caring about the nastiness of how you died or where you fell."
✅T - TRAVELLER:
The Little Prince - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“What have you come to Earth for?'
'I'm having difficulties with a flower,' the little prince said.
'Ah!' said the snake.
And they were both silent.”
U - UNIVERSE:

This book truly is unlike anything else I've ever read.

The only illustration is on the cover; it is the creature sitting on the shoulder of the protagonist.
