Looking forward to your finial list, I hope The Road makes the finial cut. I found it fascinating but it still haunts me.

Your review is what made me add it Bob.The ending is better than I thought it was, even if the rest is very bleak.I think I can deal with the rest ,if it offers a sliver of hope.And considering it is the least bleak or hopeless book by him and I would really like to read something by him..I thought ,why not?

I loved The touchstone and Summer by her ,which I read this year.It was my first time reading her.I like the way she writes.I was tempted because many of you loved her.

Love her writing and the way she flits from person to person gives a person the feeling of having lived the day with all of them.Thus getting to know them a little.Enough to at least call them an acquaintance. Very meandering and plotless.More of day in the life kind of book.
Loved the lyrical prose.

Wonderful start to the challenge, Siriusedward.
Virginia Woolf is such a wonderful author.

Glad you enjoyed Mrs. Dalloway. Always nice to have the first one done.
