I have read Book 1 and Book 2 now and the more i read about Bast the more he really annoys me. What does everyone else think? I know he will probably play an important role but i wish i knew what the point of him was.Patrick RothfussThe Name of the Wind

Bast is an amazing character for me. He has a dark and mysterious side that we can see mostly when he is not around Kvothe. His importance will be revealed when we know the roots of their relationship... at least that's what I think.
I think he and Auri are my favorite characters.
