Toni | Dark Reads | 35 comments Afternoon Fellow Bookworms,

I am currently reading through Stephen King's books in published order but I like to read one SK then a non SK as there are too many books on the want to read shelf!

Question is which book should I read after I have finished The Talisman?

I am thinking either;

> Hex - Thomas Olde Heuvelt
> Bird box - Josh Malerman
> Head Full Of Ghosts - Paul Tremblay

Have you read them? What is your favorite and why?

No Spoilers please :)

Thanks in advance

Kelly B (kellybey) | 630 comments I've read all three, and loved all three of them. I know Hex in particular has gotten some mixed reviews, but I thought it was really good.

My pick would be Bird Box, for the simple reason that if you have Netflix the movie version is coming out soon (or might already be out)!

Yes I was thinking that, it is out on Friday! ;)

I haven't minded the narration from a TY in The Talisman, I will eventually read all 3 books in any case.

I really want to read Hex but am thinking Bird Box in time for the Netflix movie release...It will probably be disappointing, the movie adaptions usually are haha.

It probably makes sense to go with Bird Box is you want to read it before the movie comes out. I'm hoping the movie is good but I agree, movie adaptations can be hit or miss.

A Head Full of Ghosts or Bird Box. Both are great, I like Ghosts a bit better. I thought Hex was vastly overrated.

Char | 17463 comments I thought Hex was okay, and I felt the same about Head Full of Ghosts as well. Bird Box, though, I thought was slightly better than the other two.

I can't wait for the film tomorrow!

I hope you enjoy whatever book you choose. :)

Lance Dale | 71 comments I enjoyed Hex and Bird Box but haven't read Head Full of Ghosts. If I had to pick, I'd go with Bird Box.
