If someone is using it to use powers, I would say it counts.

Book with an item of clothing or accessory on the cover. Also, the book is in some ways centered around a wedding, but I don't think the wedding itself was in the book, but that prompt might be a possibility since it's mentioned a lot.

If you're doing the advanced part of the challenge, it could fit in the "Read a book during the season it is set in" prompt if you read in during the winter :)

Night World vol 1 (Secret Vampire, Daughters of Darkness, and Spellbind)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Needful Things
Dracula
Frankenstein
Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
Norse Myths and Tales
I feel like I've been posting to this thread a lot...I hope it isn't annoying.

Don't worry, that's what we're here for!
Norse Myths could be set in Scandinavia
Part of Dracula takes place in an abbey (but not all of it so depends on how strict you are with prompts)
Wallflower could be counted as a plant in title
Dr Jekyll & Dracula could both be seen as someone with superpowers
Hope they help

Hi is it Stephen kings needful things? If so think it can only fit as a two word title. At least it’s a good read though, my pile of books to read are not my normal taste and not enjoying them so much!

31. A book about a family (not primarily, but the main characters familys are involved)
34. A book that includes a wedding (The main characters attend a wedding, I can't remember if there is an actual ceremony, but the wedding reception is an important part of the book)

I would say no to superpower but I think it fits the myth prompt since werewolves are mythological creatures."
I disagree, most werwolves have superhuman strength and senses or other special abilities I would count as a superpower.

I could always do a book I meant to read in 2018 but I have 1,000 other books I could put in that category!"
If you liked it a lot, maybe a book you think should be turned into a movie.

set on college campus?

Hi Janet,
Thank you for the reply. I did start it, although I'm not far into yet, but plan to get it finished over the weekend. It's very interesting so far!

I was going to ask you which one because Goodreads had 3 listed, but then realized that was the answer. Two books with the same title.

I've not read it but it sounds like the character might have a superpower.

If its this one Beneath a Scarlet Sky you are referring to, it also works for a novel based on true story.
I am interested in reading the seven husbands of evelyn hugo
What prompt would that be categoried as

This book was Amazon Prime Reads so I downloaded it and was trying to figure out where I could put it. Thank you for this suggestion!

You could use it for "Read a Book in the Season it was set in". It takes place in all seasons but really emphasizes on the Winter. It is soooooo good. It can also go under "A Book about a Family", or "A Book you think should be turned into a movie" (at least I think it should)

Could be "clothing/accessory on the cover", if your copy has the green dress on the front. Or "book that includes a wedding", since even though they're quite glanced-over, she does have 7 of them.

I downloaded it as an Amazon Prime selection as well and really enjoyed it. I hope you do as well.

Thanks!

Thank you! I didn't know about the debut prompt. I already have a book for clothing on the cover.
Hey i need help with one more book...Tell me Lies by Carola Lovering...i want to read it this year but not sure where it goes

You could use this one for debut novel or multiple POV's. It could also possibly work for taking place on a college/university campus as a good portion of the flashbacks are from her college years.

If it's the one by Victoria Aveyard, it could fit the prompt "character with a superpower." It could also be a book with the same title as another book because Philippa Gregory has a book titled The Red Queen about Margaret Beaufort (which is also based on a true story). I think it's also her debut novel.

I just finished this one! I counted it under the Advanced prompt - Read a book during the season it's set in (winter)

A chunk of the book takes place on a college campus - depends how strict you want to be on the prompt.

I just read The Shape of Water and I think it would work for
#9 A book you meant to read in 2018
#18 A book about someone with a superpower--Deus Branchia, the Gill-god can heal himself and others and can reverse aging!
#19 A book told from multiple POVs
#40 Your favorite prompt from a past POPSUGAR Reading
challenge: Author of different ethnicity from me (Guillermo del Toro is Mexican)

Maybe #40 A favorite prompt from a past POPSUGAR reading challenge?
I loved this book. It shocked and sickened me at some points, but I think every one of us living in the US should read it. These people persist even under such inhumane conditions...

You could use Oscar Wao for own voices and I think it would fit about a family too. The Tattooist of Auschwitz is based on a true story.

I have this on my list for a book by a journalist or about journalism......unless thats book riot and Im in the wrong challenge which is entirely possible LOL.

Hahahahahahahah....figures ;-)
I was too lazy to page back and look it up.

Some possibilities are:
-a book with a plant in the title or on the cover (trees on the cover)
-a book with a zodiac sign or astrological term in the title (depending on how strict you're being about that prompt, moon could be counted as it plays a part in astrology)
-a book about a family (since the description talks about him being taken in by a Cherokee chief and his people and building those relationships)

Thanks, I'll think I will use it for a book about family.
