Kat | 54 comments For December I read The Witch Doesn't Burn in This One which won the Goodreads 2018 poetry award or whatever. It's a good quick read.

Jamie Zaccaria I read Ararat by Christopher Golden, which won the Bram Stoker award.

Ararat by Christopher Golden

Horror mixed with adventure is my favorite genre and this one did not disappoint! The atmosphere was great and even though you don't necessarily love all the characters, it doesn't damper the impacts of the horror. I don't want to give anything away but I was pleasantly surprised with the twists and the bursts of fear and gore. A great horror read overall.
