In effort to include those on the other side of the world, we're getting this going a bit early (for those of us in the US).

Welcome to the final read-a-thon of 2018. The read-a-thon starts from when you wake up on Saturday, December 22 until when you go to sleep on Tuesday, January 1, and the goal is to read as much as you can and to have tons of fun. This is our longest read-a-thon ever, 11 full days of books and games. Feel free to participate in as few or as many games as you like.

We’ll be posting a game every day, and there is an Individual Bingo Challengeand a Team Challenge. Head on over to those links to participate. And it’s not too late to sign up for the team challenge.

1. I definitely think I can read 8 hard copy books and listen to 3 audio books. But if i have time I want to try to add 1 serial reader, 1 short story, 3 comic books, 2 more audios, and 1 more hard if I have time so I can complete the ATY challenge (my reading has been incredibly sporadic this year)
2. I have book 6 and 7 left of my first ever harry potter read so I'm excited to finish those!!

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon? To finish the ATY challenge (thought I'd be done by now - I have a book and 2/3's left), finish the good reads challenge goal that I set for myself of 75. Currently on book 70 and I've lined up some short books for the week.
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish? I really want to read Gone Rogue and Gemina - but have to finish my ATY challenge first.
3. Where will you be doing most of your reading? At my brother in law's house.

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon? Playing the games, working with my team and completing my challenges.

1. My goal is to finish my ATY challenge, which means finishing Ulysses and 5 more books!
2. Dying to finish Ulysses and dying to start The Kiss Quotient! I’m looking forward to reading something light.

To finally finish Jane Eyre and get at least two other books read.

Dying to finish Jane Eyre. It is good but has taken me foreeevvveer to get through.

Probably at home.

Getting some books read

Just to get as much reading done as possible

No not really. I'm mostly reading light and cozy books at the moment.

Ohh, in the airport, while flying, on the bus, at my inlaws and finally in the sofa when we come home after Christmas.

Yes, Christmas!!!😁 We're staying with the hubby's family till the 28th, so I'm unsure how much reading will be possible those days

Reading some cozy books and working with my team

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
Read! And to finish Popsugar reading challenge - I won´t be able to finish AtY that I just jumped on in august.
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
Yes, I´m really looking forward to finally finish The Lies of Locke Lamora that I am halfway through, and Ravnenes hvisken ("The Whisper of the Ravens"), the last book in a trilogy.
3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
On my sofa, in bed, at my father´s house surrounded by mayhem...

Work (but only today, hooray!) and we´re 19 people for Christmas for 4 days at my father´s house, so I´m unsure how much reading I´ll get done in that time. But then again I´m off work so you never know.
6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
The team game, and participating in the group fun. I really enjoyed that during the last readathon (my first ever).

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
I'd like to finish Kingdom of Ash before the new year. Anything extra is a bonus.

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
See above. I'm dying to start my challenge reading too!

3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
At home, I live on the south coast of England, near the New Forest national park.

4. Are you participating in the individual bingo or team game?
Team bingo at least and I'll see how I go with the individual one. But I don't want to stress about it.

Christmas! Haha. To be fair I've done most of my socialising now but I do like to watch Xmas specials and silly films.

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
Having a place to check in and talk about books over the holidays.

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
- Honestly, I just want to read at least two books. I have two that I need to finish before the new year. Last Read-A-Thon, I failed miserably, so I'm hoping to redeem myself here.

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
- I want to make it through The Bone Season (for one of my Wacky Challenges) and Crazy Rich Asians (because I just got it from the library after being on hold for monthssss).

3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
- At my house, in my red chair :)

4. Are you participating in the individual bingo or team game?
- Definitely the team game, but since I am in charge of the spreadsheet, I'll probably skip bingo... too many distractions that take away from actually reading!

5. Is anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
- Just the holidays and family obligations. It looks like it may be lighter this year, though, so hopefully I can get some good reading in.

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
- I love the team challenge and cheering people on as they read!

1. I will try to finish the challenge. I have 1 full book and 2/3 of Swann’s Way on serial left.

At home, with my cats to keep me company.

I've been working six days a week for the last several months. I have two weeks off now, and there's some (okay, more than some) housework that I should catch up on. :)

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
Getting as much reading in as I can!

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
Finish the books on my read-a-thon TBR, get out of my reading slump, and have fun!

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I've been renewing The Great Alone since September...and I keep setting it aside to read something else. This is the break when I'll read it at last!

3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
My bed at home or the bed at the hotel.

Both... I overestimate my abilities, it seems.

I'll be going on a five-day vacation on the 25th, so that may hinder my reading, but I hope to read a lot until then and more while I'm there.

Being able to get out of this "Final Exam Reading Slump" before the new year starts!

I am doing a lot of rereads at the moment to get either caught up or finish series. I currently am working through a reread of The Bear and the Nightingale and The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden in preporation of starting Winter of the Witch!

3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
A bit at work since I work one day. But mostly at home or outside while I walk.

Individual, although I did want to participate in the group tasks but it seems that I missed the sign up date :(

Kids and my own tendency to get distracted while reading.

Challenging myself to read as much as possible and getting to my most anticipated books.

Looking forward to reading books not on any challenge or list. I have The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well and Everyone's a Aliebn When Ur a Aliebn Too from the library and those should be fun.

At home in my recliner or listening on audio while sewing.

Holiday gatherings on the 24th and 25th which will be fun but I think my reading will be way less.

I'm only 2 books away from my GR challenge so that's my main goal but also just hoping to read as much as possible.

I started Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders forever ago but just renewed the ebook from the library and am determined to finally finish it.

3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
Some during my commute but since I have several days off for the Holidays, most will be done at home.

Just Holiday stuff since work is slow at this time of year so I should have plenty of reading time.

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
The team challenge because I love seeing what everyone is reading and I also love the games.

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
I want to read my two library books so I can start the new year with a clean slate. After that, I'll probably read bits and bobs that I have on my kindle. And maybe Santa will bring me some new books ;)
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I've got The Death of Mrs. Westaway finally! The library hold list was brutal!
3. Where will you be doing most of your reading? For the next couple of days, who knows. Once we get back from Christmas I'll have more time.
4. Are you participating in the individual bingo or team game? I will be casually bingo-ing on my own. I may or not be able to actually get a line of bingo.
5. Is anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on! Until the 26th I'll be pretty busy but then it'll just be a matter of motivation.
6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon? Chill reading with no pressure. I've already finished my 2018 challenges, so I'm just going with the flow.

1). Enjoy light and fluffy reading. I technically finished my ATY challenge, but I would like to replace the "foreign country you would like to visit" prompt, because it was not a good fit, but I wanted to finish, so I used it.

2) I borrowed several books from the library, including Out of Africa and Wide Sargasso Sea. Hope they are good!

3) At home, but will probably read some at my mom"s house Christmas Day.

I hopefully will finish all 3 of my challenges - PS, RH and AtY. That’s 5 books, but I have already started 2 of them.

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon? Finish The Great Gatsby which will complete the last prompt for the last of the 4 challenges I did this year. Contribute to a great team effort.
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish? I am having trouble putting down All we ever wanted. There are several books I plan to start near the end of the Read-a-thon, but I will wait to finish them in the New Year, so I get a start on the 2019 challenges.
3. Where will you be doing most of your reading? At home. I have an upstairs book and a couple of downstairs books.

I'm really excited to finish Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. This is the first time I have read any Harry Potter books.

My husband and daughter are both off the rest of the month so I will be spending more time with them than usual! Christmas Day I will spend with my family. And, I have some year-end reports to finish up for my nonprofit Treasurer position.

I'm struggling so hard with my alternate history, I just haven't been able to get through it. I actually turned the audio on and am listening/reading together. I'm at about 60% with only 175 pages to go so I can't abandon it now :/

Also, I completely missed the first day. Hopefully will be able to catch up tomorrow.

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
Finishing my ATY challenge for the 2nd year in a row!!

1. To finish the books I have on my TBR before the new year!
2. I am working on my first Harry Potter read through and it has taken me sooo long to actually get to them, so I am dying to finish them.
3. Mostly in bed, but I really enjoy using my sister's reading room.
4. I am only doing the team game.
5. Between now and Christmas, I will be super busy with family obligations, but when Christmas is over, I plan on doing nothing but reading for the rest of my Christmas break.

I have 6 books left on a personal challenge, but they are kind of difficult. I'd like to read them by the end of the year but I think I'll set a goal of 250 pages per day.

Ideally I'd love to finish off all the remaining books I have for all my challenges, but that is just not realistic. Instead, my goal will be to at least finish off ATY (4 and 1/2 books remaining) and PopSugar (4 books remaining).

The self-imposed pressure of trying to finish everything off by the end of the year, lol! I have 2 days off (3 actually if you include January 1) but I often find that when I have the whole day available to read, I somehow end up reading less.

Finishing off some of my challenges.

To finish my 2018 reading list and to get as far as I can in The Chronicles of Narnia.

Right now holiday prep is taking a lot of time.

Probably getting into The Chronicles of Narnia, which I haven't read since I was a kid. This year, I found myself rereading a lot of books from childhood.

Not really

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon? I always enjoy the group challenge. It is fun to see others excited by what they are reading it helps to get me into the reading mood. I also enjoy getting ideas for new books to read.

To try and read at least 2 more books for my ATY challenge.

I want to finish Sleeping Beauties

I would say it will be split between work and home.

I would say the amount of PVR'd Hallmark Christmas movies I have waiting for me to watch, lol!
