Prize Readers discussion

Just started the audio a few days before Christmas, and restarted again today. I'm about 25% of the way through and it's been quite a slog. Lot of nothing going on so far; I can see where this might go, there seems to be a critique of bureaucracy in regards to immigration, and there's probably a larger point about immigration in general, but honestly the most interesting parts so far have had to do with parenting.

I don't know how many of you have started or finished this book, but I'm wondering what people's thoughts are.

See my Goodreads review. The Reader's Digest version: meh. What made this a slog for me was mostly that I tired of the protagonist's voice, and hers was nearly the only voice we heard throughout the novel.
