[edit: but now that I've read a few, I may as well track 'em.]
Canada:
Nunavut: Those Who Run in the Sky 3 Jan/19
Newfoundland: The Colony of Unrequited Dreams Jan/19
Manitoba: The Break March/19
Ontario: Wenjack April/19
USA:
Alaska: To The Bright Edge of the World

Gora - Bengali fiction. Today, Bengal is divided between the nation of Bangladesh and the state of West Bengal, India. One reviewer on GR called this a profoundly Indian novel, so... India it is!
The Kindness of Enemies - Sudan
The Book of Memory - Zimbabwe

How many hairs do I split? And, my geography isn't as good as I thought it was.
Wait, isn't this supposed to be about books?

Wait, isn't this supposed to be about books? ..."
I wasn't sure how to go about the geography either so I ended up copying from others and tweaking it as any discrepancies arose, like missing the Canadian Territories!
It is definitely about the books so don't stress too much and good luck with the challenge!
Books mentioned in this topic
Wenjack (other topics)To The Bright Edge of the World (other topics)
The Break (other topics)
The Secret Keeper (other topics)
The Colony of Unrequited Dreams (other topics)
I've already planned for my 2019 reading to include more (Canadian) indigenous content; now for the longer term, I'm going to track my world reading.
Part of this challenge is figuring out how to divided up the world. Why do people always leave out Antartica? I've decided (for better or worse) to (mostly) divide this up by geographic region, not continents. This will probably confuse me at some point.
