Valerie Excited for 2019's challenge!

Update 1/1- So I'm setting myself a personal challenge for this year's challenge, which is to use only books I already own for this challenge. I have a ridiculous number of books that I own that I have not read and yet still constantly find myself at the library or used book stores or Amazon Kindle sales getting more. (I'm sure I'm not the only one in the group to experience this!) But I really want to read the books I have, so that's kind of my reading goal for the year is to mostly focus on those.

I'm planning to get at least badge 1 and maybe badge 2, but I found at least 1 option for a lot of the books so that I'd have options. Just going to leave this here for my reference. If there's any of these books you'd particularly recommend, let me know, maybe I'll read that next!

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I remember reading The Passage the first time. I thought it would never end, but, in a way, I did not want it to because I wanted to know more! I actually read it a second time, after I had started the second book, because I could not remember who some of the characters were. I started the third one, but never finished, because I could not remember some of the stuff from the second book and had to read it again. There is no excuse because I own it, just time, I guess. I really would like to kill it off this year.

Valerie Haha, yeah I was really unsure going into The Passage especially with the creepier parts in the first third or so of the book, cause I do not do creepy books at all, but the book really drew me in. I have the 2nd one checked out from the library so that hopefully I don't forget too much in between!

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I was really reluctant to read it at first too, but it turned out to be a really, really interesting story. Creepy is not my favorite either, but the way the information was presented was more a mystery than a blood fest, although it was scary at times. I think you will really like the second one too. The characters are so well done!
