Finished: (view spoiler)[holy crappolaaaaa, this book was a bit intense and a whole lot of creepy. I loved the twist and turns with the fairy-tale aspect. I'm still shook to my core with who these people were in the books and I'm so happy I dove into this book. I need the next one ASAP. (hide spoiler)]

I'm trying to hold on to my suspension of disbelief here, but the idea that everyone is this worked up over a book is pretty implausible. Also, Harold is such a cartoon villian. If Ella was going to marry a jerk, I wish she had picked a more interesting one.

All the fairy tales are extremely creepy! I really like the idea of a book of fairy tales that are all dark and none of them have happy endings, but the style is similar to happier fairy tales. I tend to really like dark stuff, though. And I like it when one of the fairy tales is included. I wish that happened more often.

Yeah, I am really confused right now too. Also I feel like Alice didn't think this through at all. I get that she wanted to save her mom, but she had zero plan for how to do it, and as soon as she got close she just tried to run away.

I really like the premise of a book of creepy fairy tales that comes to life. But this is really confusing... In fairy tales strange things happen, but they usually make a lot of sense. I wish this book was more like that. Like how did Alice get into the Halfway Wood to be stolen in the first place? And if she disappeared from the Hinterland when she was a baby, when did her story happen? What would be the consequences if the Hinterland people killed her like they wanted to? And most importantly, is Finch really dead?? I bet he turns out to be alive in the end.

So she made it back to the real world - somehow. I am pretty surprised that Finch decided not to come back. I thought for sure he would ask her out in the end, but I guess not.

Anyway, I didn’t like this book much. The premise was good, but there was just too much random stuff happening.

Started this yesterday, not sure how to feel about it, writing isnt that bad, not amazing either, its okay I guess. So far it sounds interesting, but without anything really happening, just interesting enough to barely keep my attention I would say, I hope it improves.

23% finally it's finally getting somewhat interesting, it was taking too long to finally get somewhat really interesting
