Thanks, but I'm asking people to stick to only books I own. I have wayyy to many of those and I want to get through a good chunk of them this year lol

Borne, too - haven't read that one but heard positive things.

norse mythology and once upon a curse i thought were just okay but they are standalones so at least you're not getting started on a whole long series
i remember really liking angels and demons and timeline back in the day but it's been ages since i read either of them
and if you're going to read the vampire chronicles i really do not recommend reading past book 3, it's just so not worth it lol. although i get that it's hard to just not finish a series. i've read all 13 of them at this point even though at least half of them are total crap and i KNOW that yet i just keep reading -_-;

My personal favorites books from your list are Dracula by Bram Stoker, Frankestein by Mary Shelley, Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë, The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien, Lestat the Vampire by Anne Rice (have you read the first book of the Vampire Chronicles, Interview with the Vampire? I recommend to read them in chronological order), A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll.
I also saw you have the two last books of The Lord of the Rings trilogy here, which means you already read and liked the first book? If so, I'd recommend to finish the series :)

There are the two on that list that I have given stars that I suggest.
Guards! Guards! (while I gave this 3 stars, I like the next too better and it's funny :) )
Anne of Green Gables

Thank you! I've heard a lot of really good things about The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet

My boyfriend gushed about how good Abraham Lincoln: vampire hunter was. It was actually why I bought it so I'll def try to get to it this year. Thanks for the insight on the others as well. I have already read Interview (I read it in high school). Hoping I enjoy the rest of the series as much as I did that one

Girls of Paper and Fire"
I have also heard good things about this one.

Lot's of great suggestions including some classics. And Yes, I read interview when I was in high school (I loved it) I have read fellowship of the ring as well.

I like

Thank you for the picks!

Cottonwood by R Lee smith believe me you will like it

Lord of the Rings
Guards! Guards!
Age of Myth
Anne of Green Gables
Alice in Wonderland
Wuthering Heights
UnEnchanted was cute but had the most editing and factual errors of any book I’ve encountered. Almost every sentence had a typo.

Okay:
The Dune saga by Frank Herbert is amazing. My recommendation is that you don't go beyond book #3, or #5 if you're really into it. After that, it gets super weird, and then Herbert died and his son took over the franchise, and Brian Herbert is a TERRIBLE writer.
Ditto with Anne Rice. Interview with the Vampire and the next four books are good, and then they go downhill fast. Ditch Pandora and afterwards, but definitely read the first three to five. And same goes with her Witching Hour series—the first book and the next two are gripping, and after that, pfui!
You have Necromancer, by Lish McBride, but in order to get what's happening in it, you would have to first read Hold Me Closer, Necromancer, which is the first book.
Likewise, you have that book about the Margarets by Sheri Tepper, which is possibly one of her worst three books. But she has written some amazing stuff, try The Gate to Women's Country, or The Family Tree, or The Fresco.
I loved Wuthering Heights as a teenager, but some people really dislike it. But it IS a gothic classic I think everybody should read.
The Michael Crichton book is good.
I personally HATED that Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter thing.
Devil in the White City is amazing.
