Choices are hard, especially when they involve a favorite hobby. Would you rather...

- Drop your favorite book in the toilet or Watch it fall into a wood chipper?

- Read only 1 book a year but remember everything or Read 100 books a year but remember nothing?

- Read only the first page of a book or Read only the last page of a book?

- Get locked in a library or Get locked in a bookstore?

- Drop your book in a lake or Accidentally set it on fire?

- Read a book with a cliffhanger ending or Read a book with a heartbreaking ending?

- Have the book's ending spoiled or Never know what happens?

- Read only one genre forever or Never repeat the same genre after reading it once?

- Read a book where the main character is killed off or Read a book where the love interest is killed off?

- Read a book that's missing the middle chapter or Read a book that's missing the first and last chapters?

- Love a book everyone hates or Hate a book everyone loves?

- Loan a book to a friend who is known to ruin books or Drop a book in a pit of snakes?

- Be stuck on a deserted island without a book or Be stuck in a library full of books in a language you can't read?

- Bring only one book on a 12-hour flight or Bring an e-reader with only 10% battery left?

- Find our your best friend hates your favorite book orShare a favorite book with your worst enemy?

Drop your favorite book in the toilet or watch it fall into a wood chipper?
Toilet, I think. It might be salvageable!

Read only 1 book a year but remember everything or read 100 books a year but remember nothing?
Read 100 books --- I basically already do this! Goodreads reviews are the only reason I remember why I like (or dislike) something!

Read only the first page of a book or read only the last page of a book?
First page, I guess. At least it would make sense?

Get locked in a library or get locked in a bookstore?
I'll take either! But I think library -- I love the way they smell.

Drop your book in a lake or accidentally set it on fire?
Um... fire. More likely to be salvageable?

Read a book with a cliffhanger ending or read a book with a heartbreaking ending?
Heartbreaker, every time. Bring on the tears!

Have the book's ending spoiled or never know what happens?
Spoiled. I reread books all the time, so knowing the ending wouldn't ruin the experience.

Read only one genre forever or never repeat the same genre after reading it once?
Never repeat... I like a variety in my reading!

Read a book where the main character is killed off or read a book where the love interest is killed off?
I'll take either, honestly. I love to be heartbroken 😂

Read a book that's missing the middle chapter or read a book that's missing the first and last chapters?
First and last. I can figure out what I'm missing, but I need the climax!

Love a book everyone hates or hate a book everyone loves?
Love a book, always.

Loan a book to a friend who is known to ruin books or drop a book in a pit of snakes?
Snakes, please 😂

Be stuck on a deserted island without a book or be stuck in a library full of books in a language you can't read?
I can learn a new language.

Bring only one book on a 12-hour flight or bring an e-reader with only 10% battery left?
One book on a long flight.

Find our your best friend hates your favorite book or share a favorite book with your worst enemy?
My worst enemy. I love talking to my friends about books!

Samantha | 1583 comments Drop your favorite book in the toilet or Watch it fall into a wood chipper?
I think the wood chipper would be more dramatic so will choose that option.

Read only 1 book a year but remember everything or Read 100 books a year but remember nothing?
Wow hard choice, I am going to go with read 100.

Read only the first page of a book or Read only the last page of a book?
Last page
Get locked in a library or Get locked in a bookstore?
bookstore
Drop your book in a lake or Accidentally set it on fire?
Drop in lake
Read a book with a cliffhanger ending or Read a book with a heartbreaking ending?
I am not much for sad endings so will choose a cliffhanger even though those kind of bug me.
Have the book's ending spoiled or Never know what happens?
spoiled
Read only one genre forever or Never repeat the same genre after reading it once?
They are going to need to come up with some new genres because I am going with never repeat.
Read a book where the main character is killed off or Read a book where the love interest is killed off?
love interest is killed :(
Read a book that's missing the middle chapter or Read a book that's missing the first and last chapters?
missing middle chapter
Love a book everyone hates or Hate a book everyone loves?
Love a book everyone hates
Loan a book to a friend who is known to ruin books or Drop a book in a pit of snakes?
Loan a book to a friend, at least it will go to good use.
Be stuck on a deserted island without a book or Be stuck in a library full of books in a language you can't read?
I guess I am going to have to find a library book on learning a new language because no books on a deserted island sound dull.
Bring only one book on a 12-hour flight or Bring an e-reader with only 10% battery left?
Yikes! I only do e reading but would have to go with one book and hope it is a long one.
Find our your best friend hates your favorite book orShare a favorite book with your worst enemy? Share a book with my enemy, maybe we can become friends.

Rachelnyc | 943 comments - Drop your favorite book in the toilet or Watch it fall into a wood chipper?
Toilet since it could be saved. Hopefully it's a clean one!

- Read only 1 book a year but remember everything or Read 100 books a year but remember nothing?
100. Then I could re-read them and not be spoiled!

- Read only the first page of a book or Read only the last page of a book?
Ugh, I guess first page but it would be so frustrating.

- Get locked in a library or Get locked in a bookstore?
Hmmm, bookstore I guess?

- Drop your book in a lake or Accidentally set it on fire?
Could I immediately put out the fire after I set it?

- Read a book with a cliffhanger ending or Read a book with a heartbreaking ending?
Heartbreaking!

- Have the book's ending spoiled or Never know what happens?
I hate spoilers but I'd rather know the ending.

- Read only one genre forever or Never repeat the same genre after reading it once?
Tough one. Probably one genre.

- Read a book where the main character is killed off or Read a book where the love interest is killed off?
Love interest, I'm rarely as invested as I am in the main character.

- Read a book that's missing the middle chapter or Read a book that's missing the first and last chapters?
Middle. I can figure out what I missed.

- Love a book everyone hates or Hate a book everyone loves?
Love!

- Loan a book to a friend who is known to ruin books or Drop a book in a pit of snakes?
Snakes!

- Be stuck on a deserted island without a book or Be stuck in a library full of books in a language you can't read?
Library. I could find books I know well and try to learn the language.

- Bring only one book on a 12-hour flight or Bring an e-reader with only 10% battery left?
Assuming there are no outlets in flight, one book but it would be a doorstopper.

- Find our your best friend hates your favorite book orShare a favorite book with your worst enemy?
Worst enemy.

Kelly Brown | 371 comments - Drop your favorite book in the toilet or Watch it fall into a wood chipper?
Toilet. I can at least dry it out. With the wood chipper, there is no saving it.

- Read only 1 book a year but remember everything or Read 100 books a year but remember nothing?
100 books. At least they were fun while it lasted!

- Read only the first page of a book or Read only the last page of a book? Last. I may not understand it, but I know how the journey ended.

- Get locked in a library or Get locked in a bookstore?
Bookstore! I can find the new releases, and I love that new book "crack" of a cover.

- Drop your book in a lake or Accidentally set it on fire?
Lake. Once again I can dry it out.

- Read a book with a cliffhanger ending or Read a book with a heartbreaking ending? I am always reading a series, so cliffhanger.

- Have the book's ending spoiled or Never know what happens? Oh spoiled! It would drive me crazy if I never knew.

- Read only one genre forever or Never repeat the same genre after reading it once? This is tough. I know I would get sick of one genre after awhile, so I guess never repeat.

- Read a book where the main character is killed off or Read a book where the love interest is killed off? Oh kill off the love interest....

- Read a book that's missing the middle chapter or Read a book that's missing the first and last chapters? I am going to say middle chapter. Most of the books I have read lately have gotten good the last third.

- Love a book everyone hates or Hate a book everyone loves? It seems this is what happens anyway on both sides, so either!

- Loan a book to a friend who is known to ruin books or Drop a book in a pit of snakes? I dislike both of these choices....I say the friend then make them feel so bad they buy me a new copy? Hahahaha

- Be stuck on a deserted island without a book or Be stuck in a library full of books in a language you can't read? Library. I like learning languages.

- Bring only one book on a 12-hour flight or Bring an e-reader with only 10% battery left? One book. I prefer books to ereaders anyway.

- Find our your best friend hates your favorite book or Share a favorite book with your worst enemy? I don't think any of my best friends like my favorite book, and it doesn't bother me the least!

Chrissy | 1139 comments - Drop your favorite book in the toilet or Watch it fall into a wood chipper?
Wood chipped, because it wouldn’t require icky cleanup.

- Read only 1 book a year but remember everything or Read 100 books a year but remember nothing?
Eh, the latter is close to my truth, so I guess that one.

- Read only the first page of a book or Read only the last page of a book?
First page

- Get locked in a library or Get locked in a bookstore?
Bookstores smell better, but either is ok.

- Drop your book in a lake or Accidentally set it on fire?
Doesn’t matter - there are more books.

- Read a book with a cliffhanger ending or Read a book with a heartbreaking ending?
Heartbreaking

- Have the book's ending spoiled or Never know what happens?
Both are terrible! I guess spoiled?

- Read only one genre forever or Never repeat the same genre after reading it once?
This does not compute - would result in running out of books!

- Read a book where the main character is killed off or Read a book where the love interest is killed off?
No strong feelings.

- Read a book that's missing the middle chapter or Read a book that's missing the first and last chapters?
Probably middle?

- Love a book everyone hates or Hate a book everyone loves?
Love is more fun than hate.

- Loan a book to a friend who is known to ruin books or Drop a book in a pit of snakes?
Again - there are more! Who cares?

- Be stuck on a deserted island without a book or Be stuck in a library full of books in a language you can't read?
Library - a good motivation to learn!

- Bring only one book on a 12-hour flight or Bring an e-reader with only 10% battery left?
Book - at least you’d get to finish it!

- Find our your best friend hates your favorite book orShare a favorite book with your worst enemy?
Sharing is better than hating.

Silvia Turcios | 1058 comments - Drop your favorite book in the toilet or Watch it fall into a wood chipper? None! But I guess the toilet is better than a wood chipper.

- Read only 1 book a year but remember everything or Read 100 books a year but remember nothing? I already remember almost nothing, but it's ok, because I can enjoy the same book even if I have already read it :D

- Read only the first page of a book or Read only the last page of a book? Both sound really bad, I guess the first, If I just read the end I am not going to understand anything anyway.

- Get locked in a library or Get locked in a bookstore? Both sound great :)

- Drop your book in a lake or Accidentally set it on fire? Lake, maybe I can swim and get it again.

- Read a book with a cliffhanger ending or Read a book with a heartbreaking ending? Are we talking on the last book of a series? Heartbreaking .... but if is another book, a cliffhanger is ok.

- Have the book's ending spoiled or Never know what happens? Spoiled! I have spoiled books myself so many times, that I can live with that ... but never know what happens, that sounds terrible.

- Read only one genre forever or Never repeat the same genre after reading it once? I read almost the same genre all the time, so I guess I can live with that option.

- Read a book where the main character is killed off or Read a book where the love interest is killed off? Love interest is killed. That can bring a twist to the story.

- Read a book that's missing the middle chapter or Read a book that's missing the first and last chapters? Middle chapter. Last one would be terrible.

- Love a book everyone hates or Hate a book everyone loves? Love a book even if anybody else hate it. It's too hard listening so many praises to something you hate.

- Loan a book to a friend who is known to ruin books or Drop a book in a pit of snakes? Do I have to choose? Both sound terrible!

- Be stuck on a deserted island without a book or Be stuck in a library full of books in a language you can't read? Maybe I can find a book where I can learn the new language.

- Bring only one book on a 12-hour flight or Bring an e-reader with only 10% battery left? I can't read on a plane, so it doesn't matter :P

- Find our your best friend hates your favorite book orShare a favorite book with your worst enemy? Share with my worst enemy. Why not? :)

redatt (mini_sagas) | 66 comments - Drop your favorite book in the toilet or Watch it fall into a wood chipper?

I'd rather drop it in a wood chipper because then I wouldn't be left with the agonizing question: would I rather salvage it or bin it.

- Read only 1 book a year but remember everything or Read 100 books a year but remember nothing?

100 books a year and remember nothing about them. Imagine all the great books I could read fort the first time over and over again!

- Read only the first page of a book or Read only the last page of a book?

First pages!

- Get locked in a library or Get locked in a bookstore?

Library.

- Drop your book in a lake or Accidentally set it on fire?

Lake--it's probably salvageable.

- Read a book with a cliffhanger ending or Read a book with a heartbreaking ending?

Depends very much on my mood.

- Have the book's ending spoiled or Never know what happens?

Spoiled.

- Read only one genre forever or Never repeat the same genre after reading it once?

Depends on whether or not I get to choose the genre.

- Read a book where the main character is killed off or Read a book where the love interest is killed off?

I think I'll have to go with killing the MC because there are so many tropes that often accompany killing off the love interest that drive up the wall.

- Read a book that's missing the middle chapter or Read a book that's missing the first and last chapters?

I'd probably rather suffer the loss of a middle chapter.

- Love a book everyone hates or Hate a book everyone loves?

I seem to do both by turns, it's just the way it goes sometimes.

- Loan a book to a friend who is known to ruin books or Drop a book in a pit of snakes?

I like snakes. Friends who ruin books? Not so much.

- Be stuck on a deserted island without a book or Be stuck in a library full of books in a language you can't read?

Good grief! The library I guess, there might at least be an English to [needed lang] dictionary.

- Bring only one book on a 12-hour flight or Bring an e-reader with only 10% battery left?

One book.

- Find our your best friend hates your favorite book or Share a favorite book with your worst enemy?

I don't mind, really.

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3269 comments Drop your favorite book in the toilet or Watch it fall into a wood chipper?
Wood chipper, because then I would know for sure that I need to get a new copy. If it fell in the toilet, I might be tempted to keep it and I wouldn't really want to.

Read only 1 book a year but remember everything or Read 100 books a year but remember nothing?
100 books and remember nothing. It would give me the chance to re-read them again in the future and experience them again for the first time, and also it would give me plenty to read through the year to keep me entertained.

Read only the first page of a book or Read only the last page of a book?
Only the first page. I can't read the last page of something before reading the rest of the book. If I read just the first page, there's at least the chance that I won't like it much and won't care that I can't continue.

Get locked in a library or Get locked in a bookstore?
In a library! I'd be very worried about damaging the books in the bookstore by accident and have to pay for them all.

Drop your book in a lake or Accidentally set it on fire?
Both have basically the same result for me. I can't swim well so once it's in the lake, it's gone. And once my book has caught fire, I'd just buy a new copy. I guess if I had to choose, I'd pick the lake.

Read a book with a cliffhanger ending or Read a book with a heartbreaking ending?
A heartbreaking ending, but at least it has closure!

Have the book's ending spoiled or Never know what happens?
Have the ending spoiled. I at least would still be interested in reading the rest of the book and finding out how the characters got to that point, even if I know what happens at the end.

Read only one genre forever or Never repeat the same genre after reading it once?
I guess I'd want to read only one genre forever, although that's not great either because I'd very quickly get bored of it. The problem with not repeating a genre is that eventually I think I'd run out.

Read a book where the main character is killed off or Read a book where the love interest is killed off?
Both, since neither happen very often. I think I have a slight preference for the love interest being killed off because that can lead to some very interesting character development for the main character.

Read a book that's missing the middle chapter or Read a book that's missing the first and last chapters?
Missing a middle chapter. There are often a bunch of chapters in the middle that don't contribute a ton, so I would hope it would be one of those.

Love a book everyone hates or Hate a book everyone loves?
I've done both. I'd rather love a book everyone hates because at least then I've had some enjoyment out of it.

Loan a book to a friend who is known to ruin books or Drop a book in a pit of snakes?
Loan a book to my friend (with the condition that they have to buy me a new one if they ruin it). At least this way I get my book back.

Be stuck on a deserted island without a book or Be stuck in a library full of books in a language you can't read?
The library full of books. Maybe I can pick up some of the language, or at least find some picture books to look at.

Bring only one book on a 12-hour flight or Bring an e-reader with only 10% battery left?
Just one book for a 12-hour flight. I'd expect to sleep for some of that time anyway.

Find our your best friend hates your favorite book or Share a favorite book with your worst enemy?
Neither of these really bother me. If I had to pick one, I guess I'd share a favourite book with my worst enemy because that really doesn't affect anything. It's not like we'd ever have to talk about it.
