Fishface | 18892 comments A couple of days ago, in light of the demonstrations across the country, I posted at Reddit a reminder that Malice Green died of police brutality Nov. 5th, 1992. Well, I'm reading The Carol Thompson Murder Case and a witness just came forward in the book to say she knows about who killed 2 murders -- Carol Thompson and another man who was killed Nov 5th, 1961.

Fishface | 18892 comments I was in a conversation earlier today with someone named Kay who was decked out from head to toe in a teddy bears theme. Then I came home, opened this dumb book I'm reading and it mentioned a character named Kay and teddy bears in the same sentence.

Whoa, I was in a Zoom meeting and someone mentioned that in some places in France restaurant owners/managers are putting live size teddy bears at table to encourage social distancing.

Fishface | 18892 comments The other night I had a long, intense dream that I was at a former client's house having a session with him. I woke up feeling I had really been there. Within a couple of days I received a call from the client's new case manager saying "This case is in flames! We need your advice!"

Fishface | 18892 comments I am currently reading The Witchcraft of Salem Village and one of the accused women is a local eccentric named Sarah Good. I was just scrolling through Reddit a & quote from her popped up. Her last words before being hanged:

"I am no more a witch than you are a wizard, and if you take away my life God will give you blood to drink!"

Curiously, the man she said this to died of a hemmorhage and drowned in his own blood!

It's not my place to judge.

Fishface | 18892 comments This just happened. I have been thinking about a former professor of mine and wishing I had taken another class by him while he was still alive. I've thought that periodically for years.

Well, just now I was talking to a co-worker from a job I had in the 1980s, and to my astonishment, for the first time ever she tried to fix me up with someone. She didn't seem to know his name but said "you can imagine how hard it was for him to get past his dad being head of the English Department at UofM." Well, I have my first degree from that department so I wondered who she meant. Mack Smith's son? He was the head of the English dept in my day. Or was it an earliier or later head of the department? She couldn't seem to answer any of my questions about the blind date so I finally just asked her who his dad was.

Well, it was the same prof I've been thinking of lately. What are the odds of that?

Also, what are the odds she would kmow the name of the father, mother and sister of the guy she's trying to fix me up with but not the name of the guy himself?

I just heard of him an hour ago. No date has been arranged. But in the last 15 minutes I found him by searching for his dad and the guy has 98 -- count 'em, 98 -- criminal charges in his history related to drug addiction and general fraudulent monkeyshines. What the funk could she be thinking about?
