Recently started a re-read to prepare myself for the next 3.

Well then, you're almost there!

I've read Nancy Wagaman's other book about dreams and that was really useful.
In hindsight I think it is better to read the practical guide first.

Probably a good thing, Christine, at the rate you read. 📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚

Thank you, I'll bear this in mind.

This is #3rd in the Richard Jury series. This book won the Nero Wolfe prize when it came out and deservedly so. This is an amazing book -- intricately plotted, wonderful characters, full of suspense and snarky comments. Ms. Grimes is 88 years young and apparently still going strong. I was amazed to learn that she is American and not English; you'd never guess from the way the book is written. 5 stars, Martha.

I read those years ago. I liked them until the series started getting old.

I've just posted about a book I recently finished from 1921, The Dark Geraldine by John Alexander Ferguson. Fun book set in Scotland, with a sort of John Buchan vibe

Last night I started Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland by Patrick Radden Keefe. I probably would have stayed up all night reading it (it's that good), but I've done that 2 nights in a row with another book & I needed sleep.

I like Grimes' books. 🙂

A former special ops pilot - bereaved by the recent violent deaths of her sister and husband - investigates their killings. Good mystery. 3.5 stars

I hate to use this word, but it's completely mesmerizing. I'm trying to speed through my to-do list today to get back to it without feeling guilty.

The Strain has got to be the most disappointing TV series which I watched in full, should have watched paint dry instead. Hope you have better luck with the book. Strange Weather had only one good story, its last one.

I enjoy Grimes' work too. : )

Christine, have you read them? I really enjoyed The Silent Patient, just started No Exit.

Poke Rafferty #3. Although Hallinan has written several Poke Rafferty books they do not have to be read in order. I have become a big fan of Hallinan's Poke Rafferty series as well as his series about Junior Bender. I recommend both. The Rafferty series takes place in Bangkok. Excellent mysteries with a lot of heart and great insight into Thai culture.
Continuing to read Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland. It goes well beyond any sort of true crime thing into an unforgettable story taking place during the Troubles in Ireland (70s on). This book should absolutely win some sort of award. Just stunning.

Great to see your endorsement of this one, Nancy. I turned it back in because the hold line is massive and I knew I couldn’t finish it in two weeks from when I checked it out, but I’ll make certain to prioritize it highly when my number comes up again.

I love the Rafferty series but haven’t read this one and need to get a copy.

Although I have not read the book, I did watch the author talk about his book on CSPAN. CSPAN's website www.booktv.org where you can watch the talk. He is very worried about Brexit and a hard border between Ireland/N. I.

My TBR list just continues to grow...

Lord of the Flies by William Golding

The Big Sky by A.B. Guthrie Jr.

and I started reading:

The Terror by Dan Simmons
I'm not sure that any of those are Mystery, Crime or Thriller books by the way.

1)Don't read any reviews of the book until you've read it. There is a bit of a jaw-dropping moment at stake and I wouldn't trust that someone wouldn't give it away.
2) In this book, everything is connected. He has not wasted your time nor has he wasted his words.
