Finished Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland. That was at 1:30 this morning, and then I couldn't get to sleep until about 4 just laying there thinking about it.

In this second book in the 'Mickey Haller' series, the attorney defends a Hollywood mogul.....and Detective Harry Bosch makes an appearance. The book can be read as a standalone. Good story. 4 stars

It's largely a history of the disappeared (and the people behind their disappearances) during the Troubles in Northern Ireland, starting with the case of a woman named Jean McConville who was taken out of her home one night and never came back. I loved it, but then again I read a lot of nonfiction, so it's not necessarily for everyone.

This is #3 in the Flap Tucker series. Cute enough, I guess, but I wasn't greatly impressed. Not writen at a very high level. I thought it read sort of like a young adult (YA) book.

Araych | 677 comments Just finished Down to the Wire Down to the Wire by David Rosenfelt by David Rosenfelt

Rosenfelt writes a light mystery series featuring Andy Carpenter, of which I am a big fan; they're well written and funny with good characters and plotting. This book has a decent (if not real original) plot, but none of those other virtues. It's copy write 2010 but it reads like one of his first books which he ( or his publisher) put in a drawer and now had published. Sorry David--not recommended.

message 791: by Sherri (new)

Sherri | 0 comments Hi all, I am new to this group! I am a big fan of Psychological Thrillers, and recently I have finished some really good ones and some that are Ok.

The silent Patient was my first 5 star of 2019!
No Exit by Taylor Adams, very popular book but it was not for me. Too much action involved.
Before She Knew Him by Peter Swanson was a good one. My second book by this author and I think he is moving into my favorite authors' list.
Highly recommend The Craftsman and The Chalk man by Sharon Bolton! They are amazing books.

I'm enjoying it because it's so cryptic.

Evidently I've either lost my other book or it's at home because it's not here. It was so good, too!!
