Lomax & Biggs #2. Can be read on it's own, very funny dialogue, great characters and plotting. Fun, easy read, highly recommended. And just a personal note--I lived in L. A. for many years, loved seeing all the L. A. geography again. And I learned a new word--exsanguination.

two:
The Angel of Terror (which I've finished), and just starting The Crimson Circle, both by Edgar Wallace and both from 1922. The first book has one of the best female villains while her counterpart (the intended victim) is one of the most naive women ever. Most of the time I was either giggling or doing major eyerolls, but I will admit it was fun. I have to finish my real-world book group book before I can get back to the second one.
