Once again, I'm sort of in between books, which is okay because I'm doing a serious deep clean in my house at the moment. I am probably going to..."
Nancy, what a coincidence. I am sort of between house cleanings and focusing on reading. :)

Finsihed After the First Death by Lawrence Block. Short, fast paced gritty mystery. One of Block's early works but still worth checking out for fans of the genre or the author. Rating - 4/5

When Oswald de Lacy becomes the Lord of Summerhill Manor at the age of 18, one of his first tasks is to catch a murderer who's targeting young girls. Interesting medieval setting.

Midwinter Mysteries: A Christmas Crime Anthology is a collection of short, entertaining mysteries with only the season in common. Dates range from 1665 to today. I always love Graham Brack's Prague police stories, and his is the first.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it. I didn't read your review (although I will later) since I preordered it months ago and it won't be landing here until the 21st of January. I don't like to read other people's reviews about books until after I've read them. A quirk, I know, but it is what it is.

A teen boy is breaking into homes to snoop through people's computers and a beautiful neighbor is killed. These events are followed by a murder investigation and the outing of many secrets in a small town.
Entertaining mystery. 3 stars

Reading and very much enjoying Somerset Maugham's Ashenden, a fictional recounting of some of his adventures as a British agent during World War I.

It's really very good, and I'm happy to be reading it!

I was one book away from my reading goal for this year (101), and I needed a short book(this has 155).
Lucky for me, it’s a favorite genre for me, and I’m enjoying it immensely.

I have the audiobook of this but haven't read it yet - let me know how you like it.
I've read most of Rose's books over the years and have enjoyed most of them.

Fine accomplishment for the year. 2019 and 119 books. It's fitting. 😊🍒🌷

Which I enjoyed. My review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

That looks like fun. On the Amazon wishlist it goes.

I finished Ashenden by Somerset Maugham earlier; I'm ready for another mystery novel and it's a lazy day here so I'm well into The Inugami Clan. This one is less choppy, more of an actual mystery novel than The Honjin Murders; so far I'm liking it better than that one.
