Finsihed After the First Death by Lawrence Block. Short, fast paced gritty mystery. One of Block's early works but still worth checking out for fans of the genre or the author. Rating - 4/5

Finished A Walk Among the Tombstones. Reading off-genre, White Fang by Jack London
Laid In Earth is my favourite Czech detective Josef Slonský investigation so far. Number 6 in the series harks back to the Communist regime and evidence of their interrogations in Prague. English author Graham Brack has created an appealing cast of characters.

A must-have to keep around for visitors (after you read them yourself)!Midwinter Mysteries: A Christmas Crime Anthology is a collection of short, entertaining mysteries with only the season in common. Dates range from 1665 to today. I always love Graham Brack's Prague police stories, and his is the first.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it. I didn't read your review (although I will later) since I preordered it months ago and it won't be landing here until the 21st of January. I don't like to read other people's reviews about books until after I've read them. A quirk, I know, but it is what it is.

by Shari LapenaA teen boy is breaking into homes to snoop through people's computers and a beautiful neighbor is killed. These events are followed by a murder investigation and the outing of many secrets in a small town.

I’m reading I Woke Up Screaming by Steve Fisher. I was one book away from my reading goal for this year (101), and I needed a short book(this has 155).
Lucky for me, it’s a favorite genre for me, and I’m enjoying it immensely.
