Let's take a look at our results for 2018:

1. How did you do with your goals for the year?
I’m pretty happy with where I ended up. I blew away my series up to date goal, which was 20. I actually got up to date in 32 series. On the other hand, I only completed 7 out of the 10 series I set as a goal. Seems my authors just won’t end their series.

2. What were your most outstanding series that you read during the year?
Here are some of them that brought me joy:
Harry Bosch by Michael Connelly
Gaslight Mystery by Victoria Thompson
Will Trent by Karin Slaughter
Cork O’Connor by William Kent Krueger
Rizzoli & Isles by Tess Gerritsen
Angie Pallorino by Loreth Anne White
Chronicles of the One by Nora Roberts
Stillhouse Lake by Rachel Caine

3. What were your most favorite books read (series and standalone)?
I’m going to limit this to 12 books, one per month:
A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Bachman
The Wife by Alistair Burke
Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren
All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood
Shelter in Place by Nora Roberts
Unraveling Oliver by Liz Nugent
Year One by Nora Roberts
All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin
Good Luck With That by Kristan Higgins
Desolation Mountain by William Kent Krueger
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate
All My Life by Prescott Lane

4. What were you the most proud of accomplishing this year?
I’m most proud that, despite some real life obstacles affecting my reading, I was still able to enjoy most of what I read. I look back on the list of books I read and can remember vividly those that were outstanding reading experiences and there were a lot! I’m proud I met most of my reading goals, too, and read so many books in my series. But, what still rises to the top is how satisfied I am by WHAT I read versus the quantity.
