A Year of Extraordinary Moments (Magnolia Grove #2) by Bette Lee Crosby A Year of Extraordinary Moments by Bette Lee Crosby on Kindle.
Another remarkable book by Bette Lee Crosby. A very emotional story with laughter, love, tears and regrets. Families that love each other and families that just have to let go and let others live their own lives, no matter the consequences. Sometimes we need to decide to be the survivor of circumstances instead of playing the victim all of the time. As was in Dominique's case. Her characters and story line are very believable that you feel right with all of them. This book tugs at your heart and your emotions. I have not read the first book in this series, plan to, but this book is certainly a read on its own. Excellent!! 5 stars

Fat Girl (Romance in Rehoboth #1) by K.L. Montgomery Fat Girl by K.L Montgomery on Kindle
This is a story every female, young or old, skinny or "fat" should read. It chronicles a woman's life through her life story with her family and her weight problem. Finding herself back living with her parents with her son, after finding herself in a divorce is now dealing with true life dramas with her son, her soon to be ex, her weight, starting a new job, ob-line dating and of course, mother. She has a Reinventing column in the New York Times where she will write from her birthday of 39 to 40. Clair has a cutting sense of humor that I loved. This book really hit home for me as I have been on the weight roller coaster all of my life, in bad relationships, a mother who always berated me and being older now and fat. It brings out many issues, prejudices regarding weight, mental health issues and the self esteem of young girls through adulthood. Is this a romance? Yes, some. Is this a Happy Ever After Book? Depends on how you define that. It's a story about many woman. I was a bit disappointed that this wasn't the authors sort of biography. Good book. 5 stars

Nine Lords for Christmas A Regency Romance Christmas Anthology Nine Seductive Regency Christmas Stories (Regency Anthologies Book 2) by Arietta Richmond Nine Lords for Christmas : A Regency Romance Christmas Anthology: Nine Seductive Regency Christmas Stories in PDF form
A wonderful holiday read. Nine stories of Luke's and Ladies, well maybe not some gentleman or ladies, but all had sweet holiday romance, some with mystery and intrigue and some with some very personal and educational struggles. Many of the authors also had previews of some of their other stories. A very nice holiday gift. 5 stars

Easy Innocence (Georgia Davis, #1) by Libby Fischer Hellmann Easy Innocence by Libby Fischer Hellmann in PDF form
The book grabbed my attention from the start. As I got into it, I had a hard time keeping track of who is who is the line of characters. As I read further, it all started pulling together. The characters were strong and well defined. I would have liked to have known more about the main characters and why they are the way they are. I found it emotional, disturbing at times, suspenseful and intriguing. It makes me believe that this actually happens out in the real world. The book kept my interest and was hard to put down. I was able to figure out a few "who dunnits" but some were surprising. I really enjoyed this book. I didn't really care for the ending. Not sure if it will make me run to get the next one in the series though. 4 stars

Mourning Routine (The Funeral Fakers #1) by S.E. Babin Mourning Routine by S.E. Babin on Kindle
A fun new concept of a story. Kitty is an out of work actress who has went back home to lick her wounds. She needs a job and applies at "Exit, Stage Left." A place that employs professional mourners. This is right up her alley and she can use her acting skills. She is to be the aloof, inconsiderate, uncouth, bereaving girlfriend of a man recently deceased. Kitty finds herself face to face with the man who ruined her career for her and is the nephew of her boss and discovers the deceased did not die of natural causes. This book is fun, suspenseful and full of twists and turns. A lighthearted mystery. I would definitely recommend it for a quick, fun read. 5 stars

Marooned with a Marquis A Steamy Regency Romance (Ravishing Regencies Book 4) by Emily Murdoch Marooned with a Marquis: A Steamy Regency Romance by Emily Murdoch in PDF form
A short story. Enjoyable story of a young woman trapped by the tide on an island with a dashing Marquis. Unbeknownst to her, there was a way she could have gotten to the mainland that the Marquis didn't let on. He was intrigued with her and wanted to get to know her better. And that he did in a very steamy way. 4 stars

Fated Folly by Elizabeth Bailey Fated Folly by Elizabeth Bailey in PDF form
An enjoyable, fun, turbulent, emotional, clean historical romance. Sir Rupert has some real anger issues from his past and finds himself in a marriage of convenience with a young Clare. Although she is very enamored with him from the start, they marry as Rupert feels she has been compromised by his cousin Lord Ash. There is truly no love lost between the two cousins. Sir Rupert looks at his wife as only a child and will not consummate their marriage until she is much older. This is very trying on both of them as their attraction and love for one another is kept a secret. There are many twists and turns in the story amidst the whole family. A fun read. 5 stars

Horses, Hayrides and Husbands Country Brides & Cowboy Boots by Jeanette Lewis Horses, Hayrides and Husbands: Country Brides & Cowboy Boots by Jeanette Lewis on Kindle
Great romance. One man who has misinterpretations of "rich people" because of past experiences meets the sister of a "rich person" but she lets on that she is just a single mother working and raising her child. They both love the country and horses and both have the best of intentions and really hearts of gold with good ideals. When it all hits the fan, there is need for understand, forgiving and love. A quick, clean short story. A very enjoyable read. 5 stars

A Dangerous Love Affair A Clean Historical Western Romance Novel by Evelyn Boyett A Dangerous Love Affair: A Clean Historical Western Romance Novel by Evelyn Boyett on Kindle
It was an okay historic romance. The story line was good and the characters were well defined, but I found it boring as it went on. It was so repetitive with the constant, repetitive, description cooing at each other all the time. It was a sweet, clean read. I would have liked the author go more into detail on what the real issues were in the story and more about the times. 2 stars

Love on the Prairie (McKinnie Mail Order Brides #1) by Ciara Knight Love on the Prairie by Ciara Knight in PDF form on laptop
Post Civil War love story. Abigail, the oldest of 6 and is leaving home to go to a relatives prairie home to become his wife so she can start a new life for her and her sisters. They lost family, love, possessions, home and one even her virtue after Sherman's troops left. She finds herself at the home only to find her cousin had just died and there is a stranger stated it is his land. Abigail will fight tooth and nail against, the harsh prairie life, gossip and even Indians to keep what is hers. There were many errors typographically and historically. I really thought the ending was too rushed and left me hanging. 3 stars

Lover's Intuition (Blue Mill, #1) by Noelle Greene Lover's Intuition by Noelle Green in PDF form
A great book where the two main characters are so strong and well defined. Both are so unique in their own. Camille is an empath who's clairsentience is untrained and unreliable and can see inside the very heart and soul of Will Halloway. The story of the consequences of drugs and cartels, the helplessness and hopelessness of mental illness and people's past experiences and anguishes that bring this whole book together. It was a very mysterious, suspenseful, emotional and romantic book. I can't wait to read the others in the series. Loved it.

The Secret Identity of the Lord's Aide by Abigail Agar The Secret Identity of the Lord's Aide: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Abigail Agar on Kindle ARC
A very entertaining, emotional love story. Lady Elizabeth lives with crimes of her ex-fiance and father after they duked many people out of a lot of money. She is ostracized by Society and lives her life to work with her friend at the paper. She cares for the children who are left out in the street as their parents have been killed over minor crimes. She has opened and spends time at a Shelter. She works under a pen name to give political opinions. Lord Nathaniel Linfield wants to become part of Parliament like his late father but has no idea how to write or give a speech. He also doesn't like the editorials by a LB from the paper. After meeting this writer, he hires her to help him write speeches and give them. Of course the story line is predictable but it was fun getting there. 5 stars

A Scandal at Delford A Traditional Regency Romance by Kate Westwood A Scandal at Delford: A Traditional Regency Romance by Kate Westwood in PDF form. ARC
Charlotte's mother is deceased and her father has remarried. Her new step-mother is very unkind and inattentive to her. So when they decide to go away, Charlotte takes the opportunity to visit her cousin at Delford. The home of her guardian, Sir Benedict Markham. He is a moody and mysterious man. He can be as kind and gentlemanly one time, then at others is very boorish and intimidating. Sparks fly between them before she even gets to the steps of Delford. Charlotte's cousin is very immature and stubborn and finds herself attracted to a man that only wants her for her money. A game of cat and mouse ensue with entire family. It was a delightful story, but I found it too drawn out. I found myself skipping over parts to just get to some dialogue. I didn't care for Sir Benedict at all and his character left me cold. I feel this book could have been condensed and still keep a great story line. If you like a slow reading, intriguing and titillating book, this would be a good one. 3 stars
