Ultimate Popsugar Reading Challenge discussion

I wrote a bunch of challenges in my bujo but cheated a little bit. Certain prompts I would never be able to do (read true crime - I hate true crime, or a book published when you graduated school) I changed. But still, I have six challenges in my journal! I read one book already and ticked of quite a few prompts with that :D

I've started a bujo this year and the first thing I've added to it is my reading challenges!

What is a bujo? (she asks knowing it will prove yet again how out of touch she is)

Kyria... I am pretty sure those prompts are from last year. Make sure you are on the correct year's prompts.

Teri, don't worry about being out of touch and I am pretty sure a bujo is a BUllet JOurnal with the first two letters of each word making the word "bujo"

So I had never heard of a Bullet Journal, but I looked it up. I've learned something new today.

My daughters use Bullet Journals for everything. It works great for them. I tried last year and in the end only kept track of this challenge. I'll do that on the computer this year.

I live for my bullet journal!! I started it 3 or 4 years ago and I don't think I will ever go back. I have quite a large section for books and challenges. Last year I tried a tracker for what I had read but I dropped off in August on that, so this year I will mostly use it for lists (I love lists). I have lists of books that would work for individual prompts and a small tracker for my aty challenge which I am reading picture books for. I was thinking I want to try to read a few books with a cover that has the pantone color of the year, living coral. So I may make a section for that as well.

I have come across the term bullet journal (in contemporary romance I think, which is my guilty pleasure), but didn't look it up. I just thought it was a type of notebook. Well it is, but I didn't realise you made it yourself till just now. I know it's not easy on GR but I'd love to see a picture of it so I can see how you do it.

Her spreadsheet has a tab for what you have read, a calendar tab, a tab for this year's prompts, and a tab where you can list potential reads for each prompt. I've also made a bookshelf in Goodreads for potential challenge reads this year. When someone suggests something that sounds promising, I just add the book to that shelf--faster for me than writing down the info.

I keep a bullet journal to record things I get done (and sometimes, things I need to do - which is what a bullet journal is really for) ... but I keep track of my book reading on a spreadsheet.
