New Year's resolution/goals?

My personal goals are:
- to work more... I feel I spend too much time on social networks to the determent of my job :)
- to continue to study. Last year I learnt R and I plan to continue
- to read 120 books [I include some short stories here, so it is not as impressive as it sounds]
- to enjoy life :)

My resolution is to go out and take a walk everyday as opposed to the walks that are just involved in everyday life.
I do want to read more and watch less TV, but I'm not sure how long that will last . . .

I want to watch more TV and read less! There are some really good shows I've missed (Handmaid's tale, for example). I set my goal to 50 books, which is a bit less than this year.
I also started to meditate, and am (naturally) reading a book about that.
I also have a half-resolution that I don't dare fully commit to, and that is to write a book of my own this year. We'll see how that goes.

Reading is better than watching - most people rarely re-wind, but many re-read paragraphs they like. With a show - you missed it and its gone, you cannot wander a bit

Antti, there is a group that writes a novel every year in november. A friend of mine has done it. It's done as a way to get amateur authors to write. I will try to find out more about it if you are interested.
And I will be glad to beta test anything you write.
If it's in English . . . :-)

Kate: You're talking about NaNoWriMo? Thank you, but I'm actually more interested in writing non-fiction. There are a couple of subjects I've written several articles on, and I think I could work from those into a full-length book.

That sounds like a great idea, to lengthen a great article into more. I'll still beta read if you want

My goal is 110 books read in 2019, improving on my 103 of last year. Not off to a great start but I'll catch up. I also want to paint more, especially outdoors, and move a step closer toward retiring.
My personal goals are:
To read 60 books this year (that's a lower than my normal yearly totals, but I'm also going to be a dad this year...so not totally sure how much time I'll have to read.)
To practice German everyday on Duo Lingo. I want to have a 365 day streak!
To become more active. I'd like to do something everyday.
