Summary
Jamie Grimm is a very funny kid who is in a wheelchair because of a car accident. He has only 4 friends an uncle and a step family who could care less about him. He has a chance at being the funniest kid in the world. He wins the first contest and the next one is the funniest kid in the east coast. His step family tells him that they doubt he wins and his cousin is constantly harassing him in real life and online.He ends up winning and proving everyone wrong but that doesn't change nothing except making him more sad.



Conflict anylisis

Man vs Society. So there was a boy named Jamie Grimm who wanted to be a comedian. But he's in a wheelchair because of a car crash that killed his family. The conflict is that he wants to be a famous comedian but his step family doesn't believe in him and he is constantly bullied because of his condition.But he ends up winning the funniest kid in new york contest but that doesn't change anything because he is still being ridiculed by Stevie Kroger and his goons who have put all of the school against him. It's resolved when he wins the east coast comedian contest in which everyone respects him.Because of Jamie's problems it prove that no matter who you are or what disabilities you have you can achieve your dilemmas.




Opinion
I liked this book really i do but this book has multiple problems that i'm going to write about.There's also not a lot of character development we don't know alot about him or his friends it get revealed by the end of the book but before that him and his friends are messing around and referencing thing that happened to them without explanation.I don't like how there's multiple conflicts deterring from the main story. Its ok to have those but this story overdues it. It seems to start a new one ever second and not even resolving most of them by the end of the story.Such as the case with steve krogav the antagonist he does everything in his power to make Jamies life a living heck.But he does things to jamie such as lock him outside punch him or steal his wheelchair this character does not get justice by the end of the book.And if he does something it's never mentioned again and it hurries into the next dilema without giving the reader anytime to breath.That is my main criticism that there are too much dilemmas and they appear too fast and the character development is badly timed.
