Kelly | 976 comments I’ve even made a little list of the cards we need so that I can make sure I’m hitting at least two different cards with each book haha.

message 252: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments Des - that's great if you can get through the others, and I'm quite sure Two by Two will be valuable in March if that's when you end up finishing it. I hope you're enjoying the books :)

message 253: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments Oh that is smart Kelly - it's a bit trickier when we get to the end of the month because there as fewer options.

I was glad you said that about the MPG mystery though - I just looked at the spreadsheet again and realized that the book I just finished today and put down for a "G" in the spell-out had a servant as the main character. So got that one checked off - and I can always move it back to G if someone ends up with a servant character book :)

message 254: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 976 comments Well....my book AFTER the MPG mystery has servants/maids. Gotta love a historical romance!

message 255: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments Cool - if we end up needing a G, I can switch them around :)

Melissa Harre | 21 comments I have finished reading "Becoming" by Michelle Obama.

message 261: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments Nice job Melissa and Kelly! Those will both be great books to be entered! I updated the planning sheet last night - didn't make it to the main spreadsheet yet. I'll get these two into the planning sheet tonight (and whatever else) and get the main sheet updated.

message 262: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 976 comments Thanks Des! This is such a fun challenge! In amongst all this, I’m also doing the pop sugar challenge too haha.

message 263: by Des (new)

Des (deslyn) | 198 comments This challenge is such a good one! Having a great team (like this one) makes it so fun.

I wanna keep you all a bit updated. I’ve been struggling badly the last few days with my depression and anxiety, which has made it impossible for me to focus. I’m starting new meds tomorrow, so I’m hoping I’ll have a bit more mental clarity soooooon. It’s been rough lately for me. 🙃

message 264: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments Thanks for the update Des. That is such a hard thing to deal with and I know it takes time to get the right meds and for them to work. Be sure to only let Uno be fun and not a stresser

I hope everything feels better soon. Finding the right meds for depression/anxiety is a battle. Take care of yourself.

Des (deslyn) | 198 comments Thanks for the well wishes! My therapist and doctors are absolutely wonderful, so I know with time I’ll be better. I just need my brain to cooperate and focus on one thing more than 10 minutes. 😅

message 268: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments I have everything in the planning sheet and should be able to request our first clue tomorrow, once everything is updated in the official sheet. I'm guessing we shouldn't post it here. But please speak up any of you who would like to start working on the solution to the mystery. I can PM you the clue :)

I'm sorry you're struggling Des. Depression is a cruel beast. :-(
Anything we can do as a group to support and help you?

No problem. I am hoping to squeeze a few more in this month as well. I have one I'm pretty sure will have servants or maids in, so I will try my absolute best to get that one in FOR SURE.

My Grandfather passed away on Valentine's Day and we put my kitty down two days later. I've been reading waaaay more than my norm to escape reality.

message 275: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 976 comments Sorry to hear that - sounds like a pretty rough few weeks.

message 276: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments Wow sorry KayLynn - that sounds tough. Reading is a good way to escape for a bit :) Either of those alone would be a lot to deal with!

message 278: by Des (new)

Des (deslyn) | 198 comments Aww, thanks, KayLynn. I’m doing okay and just having this little corner of the internet to escape from time to time helps. Once my meds start kicking in I’m sure I’ll be back to a good place in no time. 😊

message 279: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments I found out today that we don't have to have the spell-outs finished to request clues - yay! I'll try to request some later. I'd love to get our mystery solved, or at least mostly done, this weekend, since THURSDAY is the last day of the month - can you believe it!?

Kelly | 976 comments Omg the month has gone so quickly!!! When will we get our March hand?

message 282: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments Thanks M for the books!

And yes I can't believe it is almost March. I bet we'll get our new hand this weekend.

message 283: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments So....we are getting really close to being done! Amazing!

I'm going to get everything entered tonight then put a status report here listing what is still needed/in progress. I'm excited to see!

message 284: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 976 comments Yay!! That sounds awesome!!! I’m so excited. If you need any extra ideas for my books, just let me know. I’m up for the next few hours because I’m foreign haha

message 285: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments Thanks Kelly! You are so super helpful, it has made a huge positive difference!

message 286: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 976 comments Aw thanks. I’m so excited to be able to help. I wanted to join a real life reading group, but there’s none at decent times for mothers of children with additional needs who also have shift working husbands. This works perfectly!

Kelly | 976 comments And I can cover MPG mystery with my next book. The one I just read (Keeper of the castle - Juliet Blackwell) could also be MPG mystery if needed. Let me know if you want me to cover it!

message 290: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 976 comments Actually (and sorry for spamming!) one of the books I’ve read (The Child Finder) isn’t on the mini challenge list. That’s an MPG mystery book!!

message 291: by Laila Jane (new)

Laila Jane (axlilxlala) | 541 comments I’m currently reading ‘That Boy’ which can work for card 1 (#1 in series) or 2 (title). And I’ll be done with ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ today - this can cover the wild card since it works for reverse.

message 294: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 2453 comments Thanks for looking ladies!

When we do finish early (and I think we will) then it's totally up to you with what you want to do for the rest of the month. Any book you start but don't finish til March can count for the March hands. But its also fine (of course!!) to just read what you want and finish it when you want - that is probably what I will do.

message 295: by Suzanne (new)
