We love authors in our group and so appreciate your interaction with members here at CFD!

Lisa Harris (lisaharris) | 12 comments I just recently joined, thrilled that your group has added Ghost Heart as a pick this year. That story took my co-writer and I, Lynne Gentry, on an amazing journey, and I hope you feel the same after reading it. In the meantime, I'm looking forward to interacting some with this lovely group! I write Christian Romantic Suspense which is what I love to read as well. You can check out my books at www.lisaharriswrites.com. I live in Mozambique where my husband and I work with churches. We raised our kids in Africa, but they are now almost all grown up and this fall we'll have at least two out of three in university. Hard to believe how fast that happened. Anyway, happy reading to all of you!

Welcome, Lisa! I enjoyed reading about your family in your comment. Mozambique! How did your husband and you end up there for your ministry? I find it fascinating to hear of these things. I'm looking forward to reading Ghost Heart. Thanks for popping by! We love chatting with our authors.

Lisa Harris (lisaharris) | 12 comments Thanks for the welcome! Our family moved to South Africa about fifteen years ago when our kids were small to work with my husband's aunt and uncle. Then about eleven years, we felt God's call to expand the work into Mozambique. It's hard to believe it's been the long, but God's faithful. Hope you enjoy Ghost Heart!

AlegnaB † (alegnab) | 982 comments I’m planning to read Ghost Heart by Lisa Harris in February, and I’ll probably start Vanishing Point (Nikki Boyd Files #4) by Lisa Harris as soon as I finish the Julie Klassen book I’m currently reading on my kindle. I want to finish the Nikki Boyd Files series. Romantic suspense is one of my favorite genres.

B, thank you for the disclosure about the profanity in your book. Since we are a Christian group, this might not be the appropriate group in which to share about books that take the Lord's name in vain. If you have cleaner-language books, we would like to hear of those. Thank you.

Meredith | 26 comments Hi :) Thanks for this thread. I have two books out in the world. One is a novel based on my experiences building houses in Mexico.

Through Hammers and Verse Revealing Love by Meredith Deichler

It actually has a different cover now (need to figure out how to fix that on Goodreads!) but is available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and several other vendors.

The other is a sweet romance that takes place in Paris and is the start of a trilogy.

James Sanderson | 15 comments It seems that I have been seeking after my masterpiece ever since I was young. My friends thought I was weird because I read books at all. But to carry around those big works of classic literature was doubly weird.

I wanted to be a writer ever since I can remember. My father took a course on short story writing. That was priceless. I asked him so many questions about what he was working on and why that it wore him out, I'm sure. He wrote a story called 'Equals in Heaven'. It was a story about a white boxer and a black boxer going toe to toe in the ring. He read me parts of it. I thought it was the greatest story ever written.

I had great expectations then.

I'm older now. In my sixties. But I am still reaching for that high note, as they say in music. How about you?

Deborah Jean | 1 comments Hello,

I'm new to this group and just completed my debut novel. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to promote our books.

My story is about a woman, Shade, who believes her prayers are answered when she meets a Christian man who offers her marriage and a name for her newborn child. But when her husband suddenly dies, she uncovers disturbing secrets from his past. Seeking to rebuild her life and independence, Shade moves to a small Michigan beach town and falls in love. The relationship, however, can never be. Her internal struggle to honor her vow to God, while denying her own desires, throws her on a path of attempted redemption. The Essence of Shade.

My name is Brian. I’ve been in the group a little while now, mostly as a reader looking for book suggestions for my TBR list. My main genres to read are thrillers, mystery, suspense, & sci-fi.
Not sure if I’ve posted before. I’m an author. I’ll mention my next book as it gets closer to release.

Is there a place here in this group to seek out reviewers?

Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Kay DiBianca (kdibianca) | 1 comments Hello everyone! I'm Kay DiBianca and my new novel, "The Watch on the Fencepost", was recently released by CrossLink Christian Publishers.
The book is a cozy mystery. Here's the short blurb:
"A mysterious gold watch propels 27-year-old Kathryn Frasier into a quest to prove her parents' recent deaths were not an accident. Following a trail of cryptic clues, she encounters a remarkable cast of characters, including an actress with a talent for disguises, a politician with a dark secret, and a handsome businessman who shows a sudden romantic interest in Kathryn. But can she solve the mystery before she becomes the next victim?"

It's available from Amazon and other retailers. I'm very grateful for the nice reviews that have been posted on Goodreads at:

https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

The book received the 2019 Illumination Awards bronze medal for general fiction.

Mark Restaino (authormarkrestaino) Hi,

I am a full time youth minister and live in the Chicagoland area with my wife and two daughters.

I recently published 4 Christian children's picture books on Amazon, completed a Kickstarter campaign for my 5th, and just started receiving illustrations for my 6th. I'm going at this full steam 😬😅🙏🏻

I am personally drawn to the symbolism and foreshadowing that God weaves throughout the Bible and I believe it serves as beautiful defense of the Christian faith.

In reflection of my creator, I strive to write stories that capture readers' hearts and minds and symbolically share the Christian faith and gospel message.

Below is a link to my Amazon author page. I would be happy to send anyone a free PDF of one of my books.

Steve Pillinger | 5 comments Hi folks, this is to let you know that I've just brought out the Kindle version of my new Christian fantasy book, The Restorers. (The paperback will follow soon.)

The Restorers (Mindrulers, #2) by Steve Pillinger https://www.amazon.com/Restorers-batt... / https://www.amazon.co.uk/Restorers-ba...

If you're looking for high Christian adventure with stirring acts of God on an alien world—look no further!

The epic Mindrulers series throws four ordinary Christians from this world into the turmoil of Dûrion under Mindruler Shambor, who turns even your own thoughts against you.

In Book 2, the Restorers of the Way have just killed a Mindbender—and this has seriously inconvenienced the country’s despotic ruler.

News of their achievement spreads, and thousands rally to their cause. But Shambor’s response is devastating.

Inexperienced and outnumbered, how can the ‘strangers and loners’ from Earth, with their Dûrian friends, prevail against an enemy who not only controls the army and all the resources of a nation, but also wields deadly powers of mental and spiritual oppression?

If you'd like to read and find out, I believe you'll discover not only an enjoyable story, but an encouragement to your own faith in the God for whom nothing is impossible.

The Mindruler (Mindrulers, # 1) by Steve Pillinger If, like me, though, you prefer to start with the first book of a series, you’re welcome read The Mindruler. Both this and The Restorers are also available on Kindle Unlimited:

https://www.amazon.com/Mindruler-grip... / https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mindruler-gr...

Enjoy!

Miranda Atchley | 5 comments Hello! My name is Miranda Atchley and I write Christian fiction. I’ve published 8 novels, four of which are part of a historical series, The Abi Hensley Series, which follows the title heroine throughout her life as a writer in the 1910s/20s. My latest published work was a contemporary Christmas novella set in my home state of Arkansas, titled The Christmas Book Shoppe. I’m currently at work on the fifth and final book in The Abi Hensley Series as well as the first book in what will be a historical cozy mystery series set in 1920s New York. I’m a huge bookworm and I love all things reading, writing, and history. Ann Malley | 1 comments Hey, All.

Ann Malley here. Thanks for the opportunity to showcase my work. I've been writing for 20+ years -- interrupted by homeschooling and a reversion to my Christian faith-- and have recently been rewarded with 2 novels published by Winged Publications: Forget Me Not Romances.

Fallen Angel: DIAMOND DOGS Book One is a "24" type suspense, fast paced, reunion romance. Think Jack Bauer with a Christian worldview. Stakes are high and the leap of faith even higher. Roham and Angel muscle their way to a HEA, but it costs. But the quest to keep her baby safe and Angel alive is one neither can ignore.

My second release, Rodeo KING: Wild Horse Montana Book One is a sweet western contemporary reunion romance. Small town, cowboy culture meets flash, fame, and contemporary womanhood . . . with a secret twist. But it takes faith and family to reach that HEA. Widowed and wiser, Leigh Ann is no doe-eyed buckle bunny. And Frank is going to have to learn what it takes to woo her if he wants to win her. Twin babies round out the cast.

Looks like I have a reunion romance theme going here. Babies, too. Hmmm. I never really thought about that. But it works. I love bringing feuding of all types to an end. (A homeschooling headmistress's chief occupation at times. But with one kiddo flown and the others finishing college, that' s not my job anymore. God is good!)

I'm on Facebook at AnnMalleyBooks, Twitter @annmalleybooks, and Instagram at annmalleybooks and -- can you guess? -- WordPress at annmalleybooks.com. I even joined LinkedIn, but that's just plain Ann Malley.

Could be I need to mix things up! And that's what I plan to do. Craving GRACE: DIAMOND DOGS Book 2 is coming out later this year... and Lines CROSSED: DIAMOND DOGS Book 3. We'll be headed to Las Vegas, D.C., Scotland, Arizona, and on to Central America. Can't wait. The sequel to Rodeo KING will be forthcoming toward the end of the year. And I "may" have a Wilderness Christmas suspense upcoming. Busy is the word.

But not too busy, I hope, to make friends and say "Hi," often. Thanks again for having me. I'm looking forward to getting to know folks.

God bless,

Ann ;^)

Thanks Andrea. All a bit scary (and exciting) as never would have thought about doing this before.

People kept saying I should write about my time when I was homeless and how God has helped me.

That didn't seem right though as its not about me.

Good to be able to use my experiences to hopefully help others though.

Noel Barrette | 1 comments Hi Andrea! Thank you so much for the welcome email.

I am a new author with a recently published book called The Taker, from Christian Publishing. It is a story that was inspired by someone I know, and it took me over three years to write. Jacket summary is outlined below:

When Zac Jennings meets another boy, Cole Martinez, playing by the roadside, their young lives will never be the same. Shy, broken, and abused, Cole becomes fast friends with Zac, the boy who seems to have it all. As their respective worlds collide, it comes with complex challenges neither of them could ever anticipate. As Cole is just simply trying to endure life in the shadows, Zac is under the constant strain of keeping his new friend's profoundly dark secrets.

On a fateful spring night, Zac reluctantly tells his friend in their hiding place among the trees that he is moving, and Cole's world becomes even more shattered and closed. But at least now, someone else knows about the unyielding cruelty he endures on a daily basis-and he is armed with innovative ways to cope with his abuser's maltreatment, thanks in part to Zac.

As the boys grow into young men, their lives are forever changed by their unconditional bond. For Zac, it symbolizes his greatest fear and ultimate transformation from the suffering of another. But for Cole, it is his only light. And as he's being led down an even deeper and darker rabbit hole by his diabolical abuser, his spirit must persevere to survive.

For all interested, it is available on Amazon....I believe I posted link below. I'd love to hear what you think.

The Taker by Noel Barrette

Stephanie Fowers (guitarbabe25) | 2 comments Hi everyone! I'm an author of clean romance and clean romantic mystery/ suspense. I have a new release out -- "In the Pursuit of Eden." Here's a little something about it: Everyone wants to find Eden’s Paradise. Except Ivy.
Ivy is a city girl through and through. So when she follows her twin brother into the forests of the Uintas to make a documentary about looking for a treasure that’s plagued her family for generations, she’s a little out of her element. Add to that her run-ins with the dashing, but infuriating Aiden Hunter. The Southern hottie has rescued her so many times that it’s getting embarrassing. Of course, she’d be more grateful if she didn’t suspect him of putting her in danger in the first place—a danger that keeps growing the closer they get to the truth. Ivy realizes that he fights a shocking past that's tangled up in hers. Will she put aside their differences to rescue him?
After all, Paradise was never meant to be found alone. Check it out here: https://www.amazon.com/Pursuit-Eden-S...
