Unlike her husband, Madeline wasn't born of royal blood but she had the very traits that made her stand out to the Royal family. She had gone to the same University that her husband and had worked her tail off to be the head of the class. She became a teacher and taught for 5 years and within that time frame she met Benedict Richard McLeod and the rest was history. Their love story was almost like Cinderella without Madeline being a slave to her stepmother and siblings. She knew about his little situation when the tabloids caught him kissing another guy and she made a promise that no matter what she would still be his wife. She loved him and he was her best friend. Born into the royal family of Scottland was the best thing for the daring young prince. Growing up he learned all the things that most royals do but he learned a lot faster than most which impressed his parents. When he got older his family would occasionally go to the United States to visit and that was when he first met his good friend Alistair Rothchester who seemed to have a grudge on King Richard who had taken the royal claim from the Rochester. Leo never carried an opinion about the king of the United States because he never met him.

Leo married at the age of 26 to his sweetheart named Lucy who knew that Leo rolled both ways. He got her pregnant 2 years later and was thankfully gifted with a wonderful son. The only unfortunate part was that his son would never know his mother. She died due to massive blood loss during the labor.

Losing Lucy was very hard on Leo but he knew that his wife would want him to go on and raise their son. He raised his son doing his best not to be too hard on him. He felt that was the best way to go about raising the heir.

Every now and then Leo would take Malcolm to the United States to go see the Rochester. He always liked visiting that family.

Dorinda Hudson was born in a happy family in Phoenix, Arizona. As she was growing up she could remember that her parents tried very hard to get pregnant so that Dorinda would have someone to keep her company besides the babysitter. Of course her parents were never able to have another kid and after a while they had come to accept that their daughter was going to be great one day. Years went by and Dorinda had excelled in all her classes and was validictorian at her highschool. When it came down to her next step she was glad to know that she earned a scholarship that would help her to become the Journalist she wanted to be. Just before she was packed and ready to go her parents wanted to celebrate her birthday one more time. When they went out to get her birthday cake they got in a horrible car accident and Dorinda was called to identify their bodies. She had to hold off her schooling because she wanted to make sure that everything was going to be ready for the funeral. The funeral happened and Dorinda decided that she needed to leave or else she would attempt to kill herself and she was afraid of that happening. Since then she became a very well known and loved journalist that gets to travel and chat with everyone.
