For me the ended was bad, but the whole book was bad up until then....so it was not a big shock. After maybe a third or even a quarter of the book I was disappointed so much! It was a miracle I even finished the first one, and again I only kept reading since the kids at my work were reading it and loved that they could talk to me about it. The book was just one disappointing and sad attempt after another....

The movie is in the works, and I am hoping they change a LOT of it. Otherwise I don't see myself spending any more time or money on the series at all.....
I agree! The series got worse and worse at it went on.... I feel like it someone has never read and other YA books like it the series could be okay, but it is really just recycled ideas not done even half as well, so it is terrible compared to most other YA books like it out there....

your lucky... i didn't even finish the first book i was so bored with it.

I totally would have if I did not have kids at work that were also reading it..... I sadly put up with a lot of books I normally would not, just so we can chat about them and they can feel special that I look the time to read the books. I had to suffer through the first two books of the Cat Warrior series last year as well..... ugh!

With most of the books I read that is the case, but my 5th graders always convince me to read stuff. Usually the books are good, although a good bit younger than I would usually pick, but then a few times has been a little rough to get through.... By 5th grade the kids have been in my program for up to 6 years, so I love finding things like reading to connect with them on. :)

Glad to hear you also struggled with it too!! haha If it was not for the girls at work excited I was reading it with them(they are 5th graders so it was super special I was reading it) I would not have even finished the first book!!
