Okay...this is one that I heard about a while ago, but still cannot get excited to see this book on the big screen! For me this book was a rip off of the world from the Giver, the oppressive government of Hunger Games, and the crappy love triangle of Twilight. I was so bored with the books it was a miracle I even finished them.... I don't plan on seeing this in theaters EVER. Anyone else want to chime in on this one? :)

Irene | 3 comments I only read Matched and I disliked it so much that I didn't even bother with the other books. The ending felt as if it were rushed and I was confused and upset that the author would end that book that way. To me it felt as if the author could of been a much better job at the ending, considering the rest of the book was actually okay.

For me the ended was bad, but the whole book was bad up until then....so it was not a big shock. After maybe a third or even a quarter of the book I was disappointed so much! It was a miracle I even finished the first one, and again I only kept reading since the kids at my work were reading it and loved that they could talk to me about it. The book was just one disappointing and sad attempt after another....

Irene | 3 comments I hope that since this book is going to become a movie that the movie is going to be way better than the book, I know this doesn't happen a lot, but I think it's possible. I feel like no matter what happens in the other books, they will never be as good as most of the other books and series I've read. I really don't think that this book deserves to become a movie.

Z R (zuleymie) | 20 comments I liked the first book I mean it wasn't my favorite read of all time but it was ok I liked the story. The rest of the series though was slow to me. Usually it takes me 1 to 3 days (depending on how busy I am) to finish a book but the third book took me a while. Like I put the book down to do my homework!!! Which says a lot cause I usually don't do my homework! If the cast is good then I'm really excited to see matched as a movie but the rest of the series not so much.

The movie is in the works, and I am hoping they change a LOT of it. Otherwise I don't see myself spending any more time or money on the series at all.....

I agree! The series got worse and worse at it went on.... I feel like it someone has never read and other YA books like it the series could be okay, but it is really just recycled ideas not done even half as well, so it is terrible compared to most other YA books like it out there....

Leah Fiorino | 9 comments Yeah I also didn't Even have a favorite character because I felt like there was no character development . And I think she took a lot of it from divergent and the selection series and didn't even do a good job:(

I totally would have if I did not have kids at work that were also reading it..... I sadly put up with a lot of books I normally would not, just so we can chat about them and they can feel special that I look the time to read the books. I had to suffer through the first two books of the Cat Warrior series last year as well..... ugh!

With most of the books I read that is the case, but my 5th graders always convince me to read stuff. Usually the books are good, although a good bit younger than I would usually pick, but then a few times has been a little rough to get through.... By 5th grade the kids have been in my program for up to 6 years, so I love finding things like reading to connect with them on. :)

Glad to hear you also struggled with it too!! haha If it was not for the girls at work excited I was reading it with them(they are 5th graders so it was super special I was reading it) I would not have even finished the first book!!

Brittney | 1 comments Read Matched and tried to start Crossed, but I got bored. Didn't know they were making a movie...think it'll be any good?

Caitlin "Sparkie" (csparkiem) Well, I can now cross this book off of my to-read list and save some money.

Yeah, I don't imagine the movie will be any good unless they change like everything about it!!
