Bopeep (bopip) | 1088 comments Today I've bought the book! Looking forward to read it because being a "reaper apprentice" was one idea I've had for a few years (and then forgot about it)

Marilou Paru | 88 comments I'm planning to start it as soon as I finish the one Im reading now... Couldn't get a paperback so an ebook will have to do I guess

Bopeep (bopip) | 1088 comments I started reading it today. I think this book will be beyond a novel, because it makes me think that death is necessary.
I'm enjoying the two characters, though at first I thought Citra was a little girl -then I remembered that her homework were equations haha.

Marilou Paru | 88 comments I heard it was good but I was surprised to enjoy it so much. For a while I wasn't in the mood for futuristic distopian if this can even be discribed as one. Scythe Faraday's way of life makes the whole Scythe system look normal, like it makes sense

Bopeep (bopip) | 1088 comments Read chapter 17.
(view spoiler)

Marilou Paru | 88 comments I finished it last night since I couldn't sleep anyway... While reading the last few chapters I was just sure that I would need the second one right away, but thankfully there's no cliffhanger. I still wanna pick up the second one though. It very different from other stuff I read and quite enjoyable even though it's all about death...
Chapter 36 (i think)
(view spoiler)
Also on the last chapter (view spoiler)

I love that I coincidently read this at the same time as the group read without knowing it, I just joined. Anyway, I loved this book. I was struck with Scythe Faradays death too, I honestly did not expect him to turn out alive. As for rowan, quite obvious that he has turned over to the side with cookies, but I actually sympathize with him. Sure, killing is wrong, but in that world, its necessary. And ridding of people like Goddard doesnt sound like a bad idea to me. I'm just curious as to how far it'll get and how itll be when he has to confront Citra, so I cant wait to start reading Thunderhead

Azazel (excalibainrepulsor) I can't put it down........

Althea ☾ (themoonwholistens) | 1115 comments I love the ethical questions the book poses at nearly every chapter!! It's a unique book I have to say, especially since it's YA
