Didn't quite enjoy this as much as Abbot's previous novel "The End of Everything". Poor character development, and an unrealistic plot. Left no impression on me.

Amazing book. A bit boring at times with the strange scify elements, but the central theme on desire, hedonism vs morality, self control, tradition is thought provoking and can be applied to today's society.

The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn by A.J. Finn
★★★
Completed February 13, 2019

This book had so much more potential, but I think it's still semi solid for this mystery category. Better than books like "The Good Daughter" and "The Vanishing Year" which are in the same category.

Watch Me Disappear by Janelle Brown by Janelle Brown
★★★
Completed February 19, 2019

Not too suspenseful, but much better than the Goodreads choice award "The Woman In the Window" which was really predictable. Not sure how some books are chosen over others in the Goodreads Choice Awards, but I'm beginning to doubt the awards. There are far better choices than the selected it seems.

This is a 3.5 stars.
