Disha (dishabose) Thanks guys!

Disha (dishabose) Currently on my 7th book; Here Comes the Sun and I'm enjoying it so far. Great characters plucked from the marginalized communities of Jamaica.

message 8: by Disha (new)

Disha (dishabose) So far, I've read 7 books in January! 23 more books to go before mid-April, and I'm really hoping I can make it. There's a possibility I might lose the race (Third-trimester sluggishness setting in!)

My new read is Solace

Disha (dishabose) For the next one, I'm going a little easy with a Crime/Thriller -

The Hunting Party

Hope I can at least keep up this pace. Exhaustion is fast kicking in as due date draws nearer.

Disha (dishabose) Just picked up Love in a Cold Climate

Can't wait to dig in. She's such an underrated author!

Disha (dishabose) Done with 10!!! Eeeks!
I'm 31weeks pregnant now and have 20 more books to read in the next 9 weeks. That's more than 2 books a week!

Reading Strumpet City now

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) | 660 comments OMG congratulations! And best reading challenge topic ever. Be sure to keep books by every chair or couch around, for when

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) | 660 comments posted too early. I was saying, keep one-handed books everywhere for when you are stuck with a sleeping baby on you and are too afraid to get up and risk waking it. Good luck with all of it.

Haha, thanks, Marc! I'll keep that in mind.
I'm going to try and put my maternity leave to good reading-use.

Disha (dishabose) Ahh!! I don't think I'll make it to 30 before baby comes! Strumpet City slowed me down last week. I've picked up my next one - Instructions for a Heatwave, which I'm hoping I breeze through.

Disha (dishabose) Just started book 14. I feel like my reading speed is slowing down and I'm getting distracted more easily.

Book 14 is Norwegian Wood

message 18: by Disha (new)

Disha (dishabose) Sadly, I was disappointed with my reading of Norwegian Wood, but I'm looking forward to the new one. Commonwealth has been on my TBR for quite a while now.
I'm also reading Wuthering Heights simultaneously, but plan on taking my time with it.
5 more weeks to go before baby comes and I don't think I'm going to hit my target number!

message 19: by Disha (new)

Disha (dishabose) I'm halfway through! I'm delighted because I loved 'Commonwealth'. I'm in the homestretch of my pregnancy now too, just a month to go. I'm still reading Wuthering Heights, and have now picked up True Places.

message 20: by Disha (new)

Disha (dishabose) Done with 16!! Can't believe I'm still keeping up with my reading, given that I'm full-term now and so lethargic all the time.
Picked up Alice Sebold's The Almost Moon, while reading Wuthering Heights simultaneously.

message 21: by Disha (new)

Disha (dishabose) 17th book read! I haven't picked the 18th one yet, but I'll start reading it tomorrow. Tonight, I'm going to make some progress on Wuthering Heights.
2 weeks to go to due date!!! Eeeks

Disha (dishabose) I'm 12 days away from due date and only 18 books down. I'm definitely not hitting my goal of 30 before the baby comes, unless she decides to come very very late (not unlike her daddy).
Anyway, on to my next book, which is Where'd You Go, Bernadette. I'm also just a small bit away from finishing Wuthering Heights.
