Siobhan (poi5ongirl) | 8703 comments Ooh looks like we have a few buddy reads planned together! I'm looking forward to Seraphina.
And His Majesty's Dragon is one of my favourites, I'm hoping to fit in a reread!

(Let me know if you want me to delete this comment so you can have another at the top). :)

Nah, no need to delete it! Super stoked we have some reads that line up, always fun to chat with you!

Seraphina looks really interesting and I've owned His Majesty's Dragon for about a year so it's definitely time I gave it a shot. Glad it's one of your favs, our reading tastes seem to be pretty similar so I bet it'll be a fun read!

Siobhan (poi5ongirl) | 8703 comments I think I just love books about dragons that are so insanely cute you want to hug them! 😂 If that sounds like you, Temeraire will be right up your street! He's the best! :D

I'm reading Renegades too! I know nothing about it, but I found a copy second hand a little while ago. I like knowing nothing about a book sometimes.

Jessica (raivynwolf) | 712 comments Dragons, unicorns, and all the classic beasties are a favorite of mine, so I'm sure I'll have fun with Temeraire.

I totally love going into books blind! That's a big part of why I love the library and library sales so much. It's like a crazy treasure hunt trying to find that one weird book that you had no idea about it but ends up being a favorite. (totally how I'm feeling about Moxie right now btw, super loving it!!!)

message 6: by Siobhan (new)

Siobhan (poi5ongirl) | 8703 comments Totally agree! I often pick up books friends have recommended without any explanation of what it's about. I hate blurbs, they spoil so much!!

I am so happy you're loving Moxie! Laura loved it too and I adored it! It really brought out my inner feminist! 😅 I actually added it to my favourites shelf on here I loved it so much. I probably would never have picked it up but another girl on my friends list recommended it to me. :)

Jessica (raivynwolf) | 712 comments Lol lol my inner feminist is really freaking out over Moxie. I am LOVING that Moxie is giving the old school feminist notions the finger. Feminism isn't about hating men it's about equality for all. Super strong read. Probably going to have to buy a physical copy! (I always end up buying my favs in paper form! Love ebooks, but there's something so fulfilling about having them all lined up on my bookshelf)

Siobhan (poi5ongirl) | 8703 comments Totally! That's the problem with kindle books for me, it doesn't save me space or money because if I love one I HAVE to own it physically too! 😂

Jessica (raivynwolf) | 712 comments Finally updated books for May and June, might add in more... we'll see

Siobhan (poi5ongirl) | 8703 comments I'm with you for a few! Norse Mythology, Dry, A Shadow in Summer and Murderbot! :)

I also really want to fit in To Kill a Kingdom and Circe and Rosewater!

Yay! Hoping to fit in Rosewater still. I just finished up Circe and I am so stoked for Murderbot in June! I read the first book when it came out, but it's been a while, and I haven't had a chance to read the others yet.

Charlie (charlieridley) | 5750 comments You're doing great with your BRs so far! Looking forward to Norse Mythology in a few days, hopefully see you there!

message 13: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (raivynwolf) | 712 comments Thanks! This waaay better than I've ever done with BRs in the past lol. It also helps that a lot of the BRs this year have been for books I already own or ones I've been wanting to read for a while.

Norse Mythology is a ton of fun, I read it when it first came out and I'm excited to revisit it. I'll for sure see you there!

message 14: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (raivynwolf) | 712 comments It's been a ton of fun reading books with you, Siobhan, and the group in general too. Makes jumping into a BR a lot easier than in some other groups I've been in. You guys are awesome :)

message 15: by Siobhan (new)

Siobhan (poi5ongirl) | 8703 comments Aww I love reading with you, Jessica! I'm glad we have pretty similar tastes! :)
Glad you liked Throne of Jade, it is a bit harder to get through that one. I'm currently at 60%, hoping to finish this weekend then start Norse Mythology.
I've not read it before so I'm excited for it!

message 16: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (raivynwolf) | 712 comments Throne of Jade was for sure slower than the first book, but I loved reading about Temeraire starting to really think for himself. The British have no idea what they've gotten themselves into, Temeraire is way to smart for their current dragon set up lol. Excited to see him reunited with Lily and Maximus!

Haha you're so right!! Aw yeah I'm excited to see that too! XD
