I have the hardcover book on loan from the library. The cover art is beautiful. I like the contrasting colors and butterflies.

I just realized this is by the “Smoke and Bone” author, and I’ve been wanting to read that for quite awhile. It might be next on my list!

I’ve only read Chapter one, but I’m hooked on its magic. My favorite color is any shade of blue, so I think I’m in luck with the imagery.

The cover art is beautiful. I admit that's why I chose it.

I realize later on that this is the smoke and bones author.

I find it to be too slow paced. The premise and characters are interesting, but this book is two hundred pages too long.

Thank you. I agree with that...in regard to free reading. I'm using this book tower challenge to expand my horizons. I'm willing to try any book just not finish any book.

Page 200. The book is FINALLY starting to pick up. As I said it is about two-hundred pages to long.

Uh huh! I put a 🔖 page 185 to remember where I thought “ this is getting interesting”. Then way later on there’s lots of action and some super sweet romance.💞

To be continue?! I hate it when a book ends like that.

You think that March BOTM is going to be the sequel?

I so dislike that kind of ending too. It’s like half a piece of fruit 🍎 or something. I’d rather have it be one 1000 page book. I’m not immediately planning on reading the sequel. Though I did nominate Muse of Nightmaresfor BOTM... but I voted for Crooked Kingdom...so we’ll see 📚.
