Crazy for Young Adult Books discussion

Join Vicki, Mandiann and I as we read this book. :)

Oh good. I think the only way I will get through this is with a buddy read. I have tried to read it on at least three occasions but never managed to get very far.

This one was pretty good. :) If you continue to book 2 I might join! :D

I don't know if this is too stretched out for you, but this is a nine day reading schedule. Does it look feasible to you? Most days it's about 50 pages and is a 9 day schedule.

I'm glad he stood up to the bully Mark! What a jerk! Funny too that one of the main reasons Four wants to stay is because of his altercation with Mark. I think it's the feeling of normalcy that he likes so much. (hide spoiler)]

Assuming he is the one who took Four's phone worries me because I'd think he'd figure out a way to create havoc! At this point I want to see him get thrown to the next county! (view spoiler)[ I like John, he clearly just wants to live a normal life and for 10 years he hasn't had that. I was glad that he stood up to Mark in school and at the hayride. I also like Sarah so far. I think the dog Bernie Kosar is pretty cool, he seems a bit strange though, its odd that he is able to follow him 3 miles to school and go home again! My dogs wouldn't do that! I like Sam, I hope they manage to find out what happened to his dad. (hide spoiler)]

I am listening to the audio. The readers voice isn't wonderful. His scared Sarah sounded very much like Shaggy from Scoobie Doo.

Oh, I hadn't even thought of that but it's a great idea! Lol I thought it was strange to but just wondered if he was a "plant." I like your idea better.

I'm behind on my reading due to going on the women's retreat over the weekend and having grades due today. But this book is quick reading so I'll catch up...I hope! LOL

I finished this a few days ago. I enjoyed it more than I expected, but I didn't really like any of the characters. The world is interesting though and (view spoiler)[Six (hide spoiler)] seems promising.

I finished it too and really liked it. I didn't expect (view spoiler)[Marc to become friends. It was a bit unrealistic I thought because unless I missed it nothing led up to it. (hide spoiler)]

I did like the characters, especially Henri. I was (view spoiler)[ not expecting his death, but I think I was more upset by it than Four. Lol (hide spoiler)]

I loved the action when (view spoiler)[they were all at the high school and the Mogadorians, soldiers, and beasts showed up. I was a little surprised that Sarah left her hiding spot AND killed a beast (if I remember correctly it was a beast). She didn't seem brave enough to go outside her hiding spot. (hide spoiler)]

I plan to read book 2. How about you, Mandiann?
