Hello again,

Here is something that hopefully will be fun for all who part take of it. If you are interested please sign up and August 31st, groups will be announced and discussion groups will be set up.

The groups will contain 3-4 people, who as a group will choose a book that they all agree upon reading. Then the group of people will agree upon a date to start talking about the book they read. This date must work for all in the group. Then the group will talk about what they thought about the book from what they liked to what they hated about the book. Also the books should be either Christian, Inspirational or Clean.

Please sign up below if you are interested in being part of Group Reading.

If you would like to join look for it next month to join in the fun.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok so Mia and Jessie what type of books do you guys enjoy reading. I mostly read romance in a historical, contemporary, regency, and Amish.

message 9: by Darlene (new)

Darlene (darlenelozada) | 95 comments i know this is closed but will be reading books also so that i wont fall behind on the series

message 10: by Darlene (new)

Darlene (darlenelozada) | 95 comments put me in next month

message 11: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Cumpson | 233 comments Janine,

I read inspirational romance, Amish stories, western love stories, Christian books, books with animals.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Well I thought about three Amish books that we could think about. It seems that Amish is one thing that we (Mia, Jessie and myself) all agree on. The books are An Amish Garden, A Stranger's Gift, or maybe Love Still Stands. If you have some other ideas shout them out.

message 13: by Mia (new)

Mia hi ladies :)

message 14: by Mia (new)

Mia I haven't read many Amish.. but i am enjoying the one Jessie picked for me so far! i usually read historical fiction types but I am open to more Amish

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Well Jessie do you like historicals?

message 16: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Cumpson | 233 comments Janine
I am not sure if i have read any?

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Well then with Mia open to more Amish, and Jessie hasn't really read historicals, what would you guys think about then reading "An Amish Garden". I am thinking this because it is four novellas (about 100 pages each) and then talk about each one as we are done reading? This way if Mia really can't get into this book we can stop anytime. Just a thought. What do you guys think?

message 18: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Cumpson | 233 comments OK. I will get it from the library.
thanks,
Jessie

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Jessie I just looked at my library and there is a waiting list, are you able to see online if you are able to get it quickly otherwise maybe that wont be a good choice.

message 20: by Mia (new)

Mia ok ..

message 21: by Mia (new)

Mia my library doesn't have it.. i will have to buy it .. it might take a wk or so to get to me

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

Ok then lets scratch that. Maybe a "Love Finds You" book. Is there any state you guys want to read???

message 23: by Mia (new)

Mia i can look at a few Amish boo and make a suggestion :)
hopefully we can find one that we each can get at the library
i am willing to pay for it if is only a few dollars.

message 24: by Mia (new)

Mia have you all read this series "the daughter of promise" Plain Perfect

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

That is the problem Mia, Amish books never seem to be cheap LOL. But I am thinking most libraries have the "Love Finds You" series which is why I suggested that LOL

message 26: by Mia (new)

Mia :) sorry i have a very small library i live in a small town.. but there is this website called thriftbooks.com they have gently used books and free shipping. i can ususally get a book for 3 dollars

message 27: by Mia (new)

Mia i have a few on my kindle. hard thing is to know what you all have read and haven't :)

message 28: by [deleted user] (new)

Here are three "Love Finds You" books that might work:

This is a modern story: Love Finds You in Humble, Texas

This story is set in 192: Love Finds You in Daisy, Oklahoma

This is a story set in the wild west: Love Finds You in Tombstone, Arizona

And I am thinking in the future these groups need to start sooner LOL :D. Oh well live and learn uh?

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Jessie do you read kindle books if so I know there are a few free ones that we can read?

message 31: by [deleted user] (last edited Sep 03, 2014 09:26AM) (new)

Well I need to get moving for I am behind on some things so I need to play catch up. You guys figure out what you guys want to read and I will catch up later ok? I am good with just about anything. Except Courting Cate for it is written in first person. For some reason I really dislike first person.

message 32: by Mia (new)

Mia paradise valley sounds great to me!!

message 33: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Cumpson | 233 comments I can get Paradise Valley at my library. Also another amish series is A Merry Heart By Wanda E. Brunstetter. Just let me know.

message 35: by Mia (last edited Sep 04, 2014 05:27AM) (new)

Mia Good morning Jessie, I am so excited we will all be reading together. i just looked up a merry heart and it appears Janine has already read that one

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Good Morning all, I am looking forward to reading "Paradise Valley" and talking about it. When do you guys think would be a good time to talk about it? I wont be able to read it until, at the earliest mid-week next week.

As for the "Merry Heart" Jessie I think I might just have to re-read the series for it has been a while since I have read them.

message 37: by Mia (last edited Sep 04, 2014 08:49AM) (new)

Mia how about we start reading it monday i should be able to read it in a few wks is that too long?

message 40: by Mia (new)

Mia awesome!! glad we found one

message 41: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Cumpson | 233 comments I will start reading once I get it.

message 42: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Cumpson | 233 comments You are not going to believe this. I got a book called Paradise Valley. It is not the one you picked. I am such a dummy.

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Are you sure Jessie who is it by?

I do plan on reading the book on Sunday so I will be ready to talk about it when you all are next week :D

message 44: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Cumpson | 233 comments It is by Robyn Carr it is a good story line but too much cussing and some sex in it. That is when I knew it was not what you had picked. There is more than one paradise valley. I reserved it so hopefully it will get here soon. Or i will try the kindle version.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

the kindle version is completely free if that helps with that choice. Yeah this is about the amish by dale crammer LOL.

here is the link for the kindle.
http://www.amazon.com/Paradise-Valley...

message 46: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Cumpson | 233 comments I will start with the kindle and can pick up the book at the library tomorrow. Been sleeping all day not feeling well due to my siactia nerve in my back and legs. I need the large print easier to read for me. Thanks for your help. I can't believe I did that I thought what a dope I am.

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh don't feel bad Jessie I have done the same thing several times.

message 48: by Jessie (new)

Jessie Cumpson | 233 comments thanks have a blessed day. I slept all day yesterday so i hope to get my reading back on schedule today
