{Appearance} Jack has an open face with wide trusting eyes and a brilliant smile. While on duty, his expression always stays stoic and plain, when off duty he is always graced with a smile. His bright blue eyes can switch between mindlessly blank to expressive and sparkling when he is excited or happy. His hair is always falling in front of his face and his long enough to curl around his ears. He wears the security uniform and the only other defining thing he wears is a little silver ring on his left pinkie finger. He got it when he was little from his best friend.

{Personality} Jack is perhaps the most loyal person you will ever meet. He takes honour and loyalty to the extreme. Ever since taking the job as security, his loyalty to royalty has become even more present. There is only one small problem, he takes loyalty and his job so seriously that anything that sounds even the slightest bit suspicious is taken as a threat to him. He is always on the lookout for danger. That doesn’t mean he is jumpy though, when put it an dangerous situation, Jack will never panic. He goes into his own little calm space, quiet and detached from the world, and tries his best to fix the problem in a calm and orderly fashion. Often, when he has nothing to do, he retreats into his thoughts, or a book. Unlike many of the guards, he is quiet and focused, sometimes verging on the edge of boring.

The thing about Jack’s personality when he is on duty is that he doesn’t really have one. His personality is being a soldier. A perfectly trained, rule-abiding soldier, made to be willing to sacrifice himself for a larger purpose. He is almost like a robot, built and programmed be a good protector. He talks very little, and has a great talent for almost melting into the background, so that he almost more seems like a piece of living furniture, rather than a person. He talks very little, but listens to everything.

Underneath his calm boring exterior, Jack is practically a big child. He is amazed by the smallest details that no one else would notice. When he is off duty, he is still pretty bland. He doesn't get into any trouble or flirt or anything like that, but he loves to smile and make other people laugh. Someone who knew him only from work would probably think he was an entirely different person off duty. He smiles often when he's not working and seemed to radiate sunshine, while when he's on duty he's all grey and boring. Things like flowers, or birds, interest him with a childlike amazement. To those he is loyal too, he is kind and gentle.

{Background} Jack is the son of a war veteran and as a result, his entire life was surrounded by war things in general. He was born while his father was working on a special force mission in Zambia. He had tried to get home in time but it just hadn't been possible. Never the less, both Jack's mother and father were so excited at the prospect of having a little boy. About 6 months after Jack was born, he met his father for the first time. He was a much loved child for the next 8 years. His parents doted on him and when his father was away, his mother lavished him with attention. He was an extremely happy kid. Life wasn't totally peaches for him, his father had an anxiety disorder from his service but the family learned to live with it. He loved his parents more than anything. Which was why he went into such a shock when it was announced that the next time his father came home, it was going to be in a casket. He had been sent to be a peacekeeper in some country far away and things had gotten out of hand. He died instantly.

After that, you would think that things would get worse. Actually they got better. Well, not really, but sort of.Without a husband, Jack was all his mother had left. She loved him to death. It hurt her so much to send him to military school when he was only 11, but that's what he had wanted. He wanted to be like his father. So, for the next many years until he graduated high school, he went to a military boarding school. There he learned how to be the perfect security guard he is now.

He wanted to join the army right after he graduated, but his mother refused. She didn't want him to go away and never come back like her husband had. After many arguments and tearful shouting, Jack agreed to try and get a job as a security guard instead. He applied for the first job he saw, which ended up being for the monarchy of America. Boy was he surprised to get that job. After all, he was only 18. But he had a perfect record in pretty much everything, so why not.
