D.C. Alexander | 2 comments Earthly Powers - The Adventure Begins, published on Amazon 2-19-2019. All reviews so far are 5 - star on Amazon. Working on my blurb:

Rosalee, a young mixed race girl, survives one day at a time in the hood as it goes from bad to worse. Hookers, drugs, and gangs are not her problem if they leave her alone. If not? They get smacked down HARD. This Rose has thorns.
But when the young and defenseless are eaten, zombied, sold and abused by the unnatural, Rose is the only hope they have.
Vampires and ghouls and magic, oh my. Can she save them? Can she save herself?
It aint Oz in the hood and Rose aint a wizard, but her back is against the wall and maybe a Druid will do. If that’s what she is. She has no idea; her abilities didn’t come with any more explanations or labels than the bad guys.
Foul mouthed at times, destroyed and reborn, if she can figure enough of it out she might live another day.

Justin (justinbienvenue) Just went to your site and I'm disappointed. It's not a good practice to pay for reviews and your site not only suggests that authors pay for a better chance for their book of getting a guaranteed review but you only accept soft cover or online books if the author pays? Most authors don't get their book in hardcover so that seems unfair to most authors unless they are part of big publishing companies.

I myself haven't even published my book as I'm trying to get early reviews and a site like yours doesn't even have such an option or it does but I'd have to pay for it which again goes against an author rule and code of paying for reviews.

Charging authors $69 and 89 is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable and I hope no one in this group falls victim to such a rip off and scam.

Your on a Goodreads group telling people about your services and it all leads to paid reviews. That's a scam in my book. I'm well aware of what Kirkus charges but honestly you are no different. Paying for reviews is a big no no and yet you embrace it it. The whole free review you mention is misleading, most authors don't have hardcover and anyone who pays for a review is hurting themselves.

It is not against group rules as far as I know. I think people have to choose what is valuable to them, and what is not. I know I looked into sending one of my books and chose not to follow up- I don't remember why. I look at tons of sites advertising all sorts of things every day.
I am fine with being a forum where people can post services and an author can decide whether they want to pursue it. I want to add that we are not endorsing or vetting any services here- It's an open forum.
