Once the reading challenge starts, you can come over here and share the first book you're reading! Maybe you'll find someone else reading the exact same one?

Have you finished a book? Tell us as well! Maybe even add some of your thoughts about the book. Did you enjoy it? Or didn't you?

What's going to be your next read?

Every small progress you make, you can share here! Even if you just want to talk about a huge event that just occurred and you need to shout about it for a bit.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

I got the Mistborn trilogy box set today from my local independent bookstore, so I started Mistborn: The Final Empire(643 pages with thin pages, smaller print and not much wasted space per page) today. I haven't made it far but I'm loving it so far!

message 10: by Becca (new)

Becca (astoldbybex) | 15 comments I included Out of Salem on my TBR, even though I originally already had it started, but I DNF it today @ 60% :(

message 12: by evofox (last edited Mar 04, 2019 12:55AM) (new)

evofox (brycereads) | 27 comments finished fairy tail master edition volume one not that long ago. enjoyed the story arcs a fair bit as well as the introdiction of several major characters. probably wont read the next book for a bit though so i do not end up binge reading series. moved onto attack on titans collossal edition 1. also since i have now finished knights shadow may move onto miss peregrins home for peculiar children.

also removed eye of the world since i dont know if i have time to read it this month

message 13: by Krystal (new)

Krystal (krystallee6363) I read Illuminae which was more monster than I anticipated so that was a happy coincidence :)

Review here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

message 14: by Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (last edited Mar 04, 2019 01:38PM) (new)

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) Finished my first nigh-700 page monster of the month, NOS4A2. It was pretty good! Go cousin Joe!

message 15: by Jelena (new)

Jelena Milenković (kaliopi_ann) | 22 comments You go guys!

I finished two books since the beginning of the month which I find great because February, despite fantasy genre being my all time favorite, wasn't a very good month for me in terms of reading - I read a total of 4 books (3 monstrously large books but still).
One of the two books was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3) by J.K. Rowling .
It felt great, going back to that magical world, meeting Sirius again (he's my fave HP character, in case you didn't know that!) *love-eyes*

message 16: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 146 comments So February wasn't a great reading month for me and I carried two books into this month (which I'm still trying to find time for). One is a library book, but I can just renew that this week.

However, I've been concentrating on my other two library books as well and they're done. Thankfully, they didn't take long and I've loved them both. :) But it does mean that I haven't actually started my original list for March yet haha!

message 17: by Katherine (new)

Katherine Moore (kamoore1) So far, I have read:
Hag by Kathleen Kaufman
The Devil Crept In by Ania Ahlborn

On my TBR:
The Haunted by Danielle Vega
The Toll by Cherie Priest
Inspection by Josh Malerman
Teeth in the Mist by Dawn Kurtagich

message 18: by Summer (new)

Summer (speaking_bookish) (speaking_bookish) | 59 comments Hey everyone..So, it's been a slow start this month due to working 3 double shifts in the last 4 days but now I've got 4 days off so I plan on finishing some stuff. I'm in the middle of 5 books at the moment:

From Breath and Ruin
Salt
Poison or Protect
Last Call at the Nightshade Lounge
A Heart in a Body in the World (audiobook)

I plan on finishing both salt and poison or protect today and finally cross something off of my TBR.. hope everyone is having a great reading month so far!

message 19: by Summer (new)

Summer (speaking_bookish) (speaking_bookish) | 59 comments Just finished Salt and really liked it. I gave it 4 stars. About the start Sawkill Girls ...I've been waiting to read this one for a bit now so I'm glad to finally start it. I'm also hoping to finish Poison or Protect tonight. its a novella so its only about 147 pages and i'm already part of the way through. Glad to finally have made some progress this month!

message 20: by Trish (new)

Trish Isiderio (trishupaper) | 13 comments Just finished Sadie, my second book for this month's theme, and I am an emotional wreck.

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) I am making great progress this month! Being home sick has helped me turn those pages, for sure. I am reading at least twice as fast as I figured I would need to get through all of the horror TBR on my shelf. I read nearly-700 pages NOS4A2 in 3 days. I just finishedBooks of Blood: Volume One and have started on Revival and Lovecraft Country. All the while I read another book that does not quite fit the monstrous theme, and chapter a day of Stardust.

I'm emotionally beat. This book really ganged up on me.

message 24: by Summer (new)

Summer (speaking_bookish) (speaking_bookish) | 59 comments I just finished Last Call at the Nightshade Lounge. It was a pretty fun read, nothing totally amazing. I gave it a 3.5/5. I started Sawkill Girls last night and I'm also making my way through My Favorite Thing Is Monsters, Vol. 1 which I added to my monstrous TBR late but I love the art style. It's honestly a piece of art more than anything. I can't wait until Vol. 2 comes out. I'm hoping to finish Poison or Protect tonight as well. I'm reading a lot of great books right now and I'm basking in it 🥰

message 25: by Tracy (new)

Tracy (tracy_reads79) I finished The Waste Lands by King. I’m currently reading In The Valley of the Sun by Andy Davidson and Saint Sadist by Lucas Mangum

destiny ♡ howling libraries (howlinglibraries) | 363 comments Mod
It wasn't on my TBR, but I started the audiobook of Misery today and so far I'm feeling like it might be my favorite Stephen King read yet aside from the first 1/3 or so I've read of Pet Sematary. 😂

message 27: by C.E. (new)

C.E. Clayton (chelscey) | 38 comments I am ttthhhiiissssssss close to crossing out all my reads for this challenge! (shhh, I know I only had three books, but I'm doing it and that's all that matters? Tell me yes ;) )

message 29: by evofox (new)

evofox (brycereads) | 27 comments only finished one so far and roughly half way through two more. all have been fun reads and either improved already good series or set up a new awesome series

message 30: by Krystal (new)

Krystal (krystallee6363) Finished Halcyon and it was sufficiently creepy!

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

I finished Mistborn: The Final Empire Thursday and loved it! I'm now reading Mistborn: The Well Of Ascension(763 pages). I'm currently 72 pages in and loving it!

message 33: by Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (last edited Mar 09, 2019 08:49AM) (new)

Marc *Dark Reader with a Thousand Young! Iä!* (marcthedarc) Finished Revival and it was amazing! I haven't been this entranced by a Stephen King book in forever.

I am making amazing progress on my monstrous TBR; I thought I would struggle to make it through my stack but I seem to be on track to finishing it sooner than the 20th. I will have to add some more!

message 34: by Laia (new)

Laia Pérez (laiaisreading) (laiaisreading) So... It's 10 of March and I have successfully read I book in my TBR and 2 off it.
The life of a moody reader, It doesn't matter that I try to cover all the genres, my gut seems to want what I haven't had scheduled.
Going for my number 3 off my TBR, BTW.

message 35: by evofox (new)

evofox (brycereads) | 27 comments finished attack on titans omnibus one. fairly good volume even though the fourth volume did drag on and didnt really do much for the story. still reading calibans war and going to start mrs peregrins soon. took me a while to get through the two omnibuses but now im finished should be able to get more read quickly.

message 36: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 146 comments Finally started my official list for this month with Four Dead Queens. Not very far into it yet, but I'm enjoying it at the moment.

Misty's Book Space (mistysbookspace) | 1 comments I started the first book on my list last night. I’m reading Illuminae and I got a little over halfway through it and I’m hoping to finish it today.

message 38: by Summer (new)

Summer (speaking_bookish) (speaking_bookish) | 59 comments I just completed Sawkill Girls and it was awesome! I gave it 4 stars and would have given it 5 but the second half of the book wasn't as strong as the first. I still highly recommend it though! loved it. Next up is Into the Drowning Deep... based on what I've heard about this one I think I'm going to love it. We'll see! I'm still making my way through My Favorite Thing Is Monsters, Vol. 1 and im really enjoying it.

message 39: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 146 comments So I've changed my list a bit, to shorten it, and am now also reading The Extinction Trials: Rebel because what's more monstrous than dinosaurs?? :)

I finished Misery and Wolf Land today and gave them both 5 stars!

message 41: by Cathrine (new)

Cathrine I started Bird Box a few days ago! It’s a little bit scary so I keep taking breaks, but I’m making progress! It’s also a very fast read, and I’m about halfway done already.

message 42: by Sarah (new)

Sarah A-F (sarahlopod) | 22 comments destiny ♡⚔♡ wrote: "I finished Misery and Wolf Land today and gave them both 5 stars!"

This solidifies my decision to reread Misery!!

Bird Box was actually really good. So much psychological stress going on throughout the whole novel.

I've really enjoyed all the things I've read by Josh Malerman, including Bird Box. A House At The Bottom Of A Lake is probably my favorite.

message 45: by Laia (new)

Laia Pérez (laiaisreading) (laiaisreading) From the 6 books I have read so far this month 2 were from the TBR so YAY! That's a big step for me. I'm the perfect definition for a moody reader.
Carve the Mark was quite good, in the same line of what I thought of Divergent. I'm continuing with the duology so tonight I'll start The Fates Divide.
Keep reading guys!💪🏼

message 46: by Kelly (new)

Kelly | 146 comments Finally finished with my February reads and can focus on this month's! So far, I seem to be in a better form to have a good reading month in March.

message 47: by Sarah (new)

Sarah A-F (sarahlopod) | 22 comments I finally finished I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer, and it was great! Sad and disturbing, but so well-written.

Not sure I'll have time for anything else since I'm working on reading the entire Women's Prize longlist before the winner is announced.

message 48: by Natalie (new)

Natalie | 18 comments So far, I've read Damsel, which was deeply upsetting but very good, and I'm about 75% of the way through Furyborn, which I have some thoroughly mixed feelings about. An Anonymous Girl is currently on hold because I wasn't quite in a thriller mood last weekend.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

I finished Mistorn: The Well Of Ascension just now(13th) and am starting Mistorn: The Hero Of Ages next.

message 50: by evofox (new)

evofox (brycereads) | 27 comments just finished calibans war which has taken me a large chunk of this month to read. had mixed opinions on it primarily due to one of the four narrators seeming slightly unnecessary and only included to give the book a happy ending unlike the first book. going to start mrs peregrins either today or tomorrow.
