I think it would be like a new drama/romance/and back stabbing movie ever if made correctly.

Made correctly being the highlight... I think they would have an easier time making it a TV show, though. Only thing is money after what happened to the Mortal Instruments and Delirium...

If this book is going to be a movie, If i were the producer I would definitely make the story into just "A Movie" not "A series". There's nothing much thrilling happened, besides the story looks like an only one phase story that is divided into three so it could be called a series.

Oh my gosh just the beginning scene is terrible! This isn't the real script right?

I really want The Selection to become a movie or at least a very decent show where they don't CHANGE the characters' personality. Like changing Maxon to a man whore and having a little brother like what! The last two tries with CW was a complete mess but I really do want it to be a decent movie/TV show. I want to see these lovely characters come to life! Some TV network or movie production has to pick it up!

a kid's movie would be great. aiming at an actual adult movie would be aiming too high cause the story was nothing short of plain and shallow

I think it would well as a movie if they put in more about the rebels. If it just follows the girls fighting over Maxon for three movies I'm not sure it would work.

I think it would be a better tv series, but I still am always afraid that the directors will ruin the entire thing. And I dont like it when they choose bad casting because it ruins the book again, I already have a picture in my mind of what Maxon, Aspen, America, Queen Amberly, and everyone. I dont want people to ruin that perfect image I have of the characters

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE TV VERSION OF MAXON AND LUCY AND EVERTHING!!!!!! THAT IS NOT WHAT EVER REALLY TRULY HAPPENS

This can't be the real script. No freakin' way. Just no. Anyway, I'm not sure if I want it to become a movie. I have this impression it'd just make up another boring/messed-up YA movie adaptation.

I would love this to become a movie. But it really needs to be well dome. Because if not i am not going to read-watch a YA movie adaptation.
But with the right people and the right script it would be a wonderful movie.

If they do it will never reach fan's expectations. It'll never be good enough. IF they are thinking about making it into a movie they have to get a really good script writer and director.

i don't want it on screen really .. it never captures the whole thing if not ruin it like The Mortal Instruments !!
Besides i feel i would be disappointed because i have everything from faces, voices, etc in my mind as i want so there is a sliiight chance that I would be satisfied xD

Make it one movie! No way to be a series.The book itself could be in one book. At least I have saved money to buy another books.

Yes, I think it would be a bit stretched out if they tried to make it a trilogy of movies.

HOLY! This series could NEVER be a succesful TV show. It was practically MADE to be a movie directed by the same persn who directed Harry Potter. The only reason I would chiose that director is because the HP movies and books 're alot alike. The Selection is amazing and I think I might just die if they use the script from the TV show.

the trilogy could be turn turned into movies on the cw chanel. i don't think it would make it big screen though.

I hope they won't make a TV show of this. It's just not big enough for a tv show. Maybe one movie, but I don't think so.

Based on that script....THE STORY LINE IS HORRIBLE!!! the reason that America fell for Maxon in the first place was that he wasn't that lustful, self-loving, privileged, egotistical prince she thought he was in the first place. that script would ruin literally the ENTIRE story because it deviates from EVERY MAJOR FACT/POINT!! why is it so HARD to get a book-to-movie adaptation right? sometimes I get that they have to change some minor details....BUT THE ENTIRE PLOT LINE? that's really pushing it! I am acting so emotional because this was one of my favorite series and it wounds me that they may mess it up so badly!

OH MY GOD DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED!!
I can 100% honestly tell everyone that the PJO movies (the 2nd wayyyy more than the 1st) downright sucked. NOTHING was right and it just pissed everyone off...which was a really big mistake because PJO has a huge fan base.

Just so you know though Rick has nothing to do with the script or anything. He promised never to watch any of the movies (good for him) and he didn't argue about their character adaptations because he said he lets everyone imaging his characters the way the want.
*deep breath* again emotion because PJO is definitely my favorite series.....but this thread is about the Selection ^^ forgive me for ranting. If any of you love PJO as much as I do, though, I think you can connect!
