Kody | 19 comments Hi, I'm looking for romance recommendations with a certain romantic theme. Basically the heroine is rescued by the hero. KEEP IN MIND, I'm NOT looking for this to be the actual plot of the story. I'm looking for stories where this is how the hero and heroine first meet each other. (Preferably i'm wanting the heroine rescued long before the halfway point of the book.)

Optional scenarios include, but are limited too:

Heroine has been held in captivity and the hero breaks her out.

Heroine is being assaulted/mugged and the hero show's up out of no where to save her.

Heroine is experiencing some sort of traumatic event (i.e. car crash or something) and the hero shows up to save her.

One last thing. I want to specify that the hero and heroine must NOT know each other until after the heroine is rescued. Frankly speaking it's a pretty common concept for the heroes to rescue their girls after they're already in love with them (Who wouldn't?). So that doesn't count. I'm looking for heroes who save random strangers in distress because they can, not because they're emotionally invested in the victim. Why? Because bad ass Good Guys are cool.

Here are some examples.
Croc and the Fox (Furry United Coalition, #3) by Eve Langlais
Her Fierce Warrior (X-Ops, #4) by Paige Tyler
Wild Cat (Shifters Unbound, #3) by Jennifer Ashley
God Touched (Demon Accords, #1) by John Conroe

P.S. For the record. I'm not sexist. In fact If you know some romances with a reverse scenario (I.E. Heroine rescues hero) then by all means throw them out there. Just specify that's the case so everyone knows. Bad ass Good Gals are cool too. And sexy. Amen.

Ash Try Colleen Hoover books, but there are no action in them or magic though. But if you are also looking for characters rescuing the other characters emotionally then those will fit perfectly. There is also Warm bodies by Isaac Marion (Zombie romance) good series too, they have a little bit of action/ adventure taste in them and of course romance (The girl kinda saves the guy). I don't read adventure much and the only adventure/ fantasy series I liked is The Maze Runner by James Dashner but the romance is very rare there. There IS in fact romance but I just didn't ship it.

Errin Stevens (errintevens) | 97 comments I love this trope, too. One option is to scour Listopia? And here are mine, the first of which falls exactly in line with what you described: Updrift
Breakwater
Outrush
